Applying for k-1 Visa while within us

Hi guys, my finace and i are starting to fill out the I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiance and we have encounted a problem, Item number 12 on the form is asking for my I-94 number but I didn't receive the green form at my port of entry (buffalo) as I am in the Visa Waiver Program, nor was my passport stamped. I know i have to leave with in 3 months on the tourist visa and I will complete the remaining forms in Australia and wait for approval before coming back to the US on the K-1 Fiance visa. Is putting my Visa Waiver Program Application number enough? Any help will be greatly appreciated ! Cheers
