My fiancé got this in her email this morning. I'm just wondering if it's been approved or denied?

Dear

Your document(s) have been collected from the US Embassy/Consulate.

The passport number being returned is XXXXXXXX and the AWB for tracking is XXXXXXXX.

You have chosen to have your documents delivered to the following location:

2GO Pampanga, Betterdays bldg,, San Fernando, Pampanga 2000

If you have any issues or concerns, please contact us at www.ustraveldocs.com/ph.

What I can tell from the email is that your fiance left her passport after the interview with the officer, and now they are sending the passport back. So, if she was told she is approved and to leave her passport, this mean that they printed the visa on the passport and sending it back to her and gave her a tracking number.

Hopefully that makes you happy :)

We were actually denied at first due to public charge but they asked her to send her passport back June 20th. I hope the visa is printed but I've seen different emails from other peoples situations. I'm crossing my fingers.

I have no definitive answer so maybe I'm not the best person to offer a first response, but I would assume they send an email like that to everyone.

Either way they have to return your passport and documents.

But I'm confused..I thought with the K-1 they told you if you were approved or not at the end of the Interview? Is this not the case. My fiancee has her interview tomorrow, and she is actually the one who spoke with someone at the embassy and that is what they told her, unless there was a big miscommunication.

Either way, good luck

At the interview they gave her a 221G for my current year W2. They denied the K1 and I asked what to do. They told me to just send them pay stubs from the past 6 months and that's what I did. After 2 weeks they asked her to send her passport to them and she did that June 20th. Last night she got this email. I'm just worried and confused if this is a denial or approval. I've seen where someone got an email saying that the visa has been printed. I hope someone can shed some light on this.

Thanks HCDT I hope so.

2go will send her email also :) they didn't say it is denied nor approved but with what you say for me it is approved, let's think of the positive thing to happen :)

this is my other opinion concerning to the email of USEM to your fiancee, it seems it is a notice that they already got/collected the docs, i mean your reply to the 221g issue and that they got her passport also. and once the visa is issued they are going to send the packet at the said address.

i let my friends read it the one's that got 221g and they said it seems they just got your docs and her passport too. sometime it takes a week or 2 before USEM get the docs we send to them no matter how far or close the sender is.

Your fiancée's 221g was not a denial. It was a refusal. There's a difference.

Her 221g told her what she had to do, and she did it.

Now her visa has been approved and she received an email from 2GO telling her that they have her visa packet.

Delivery of her visa packet is imminent...probably tomorrow.

Congratz! :star:

Agree, your visa was not DENIED. This is a good sign I think. They requested additional documents. You sent them. They requested her passport. Why would they request the passport unless they were going to put the visa in it? If they were truly going to deny your visa after the documents you sent in, they would have just sent a letter.

So pretty for sure your visa is on the way!

I agree with this. They wouldn't have asked for her passport after the 221g if they didn't intend to issue a visa.
