There was one there when I had my interview.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I know of several cases where the U.S based fiancee attended the visa interview at the U.S. embassy in their foreign fiancee's country. I have never heard it being a problem.

But, to be on the safe side, you can send an email to the visa control officer at the embassy and just ask.

I was checking something for a friend and discovered that the embassy in Moscow does not allow the U.S resident fiancee to attend the interview. So, it is probably best to check the embassy web site for the country you are involved with. You will find it under the Visa Services section.

Conslate Kiev's web site says that the American fiancee is allowed to attend. Has anyone had any recent experience that can confirm that?

Thanks

Paul
