Hello everyone,

It's been 9 months since my husband had his interview at Casablanca and they put his case under administrative processing. I have contacted my congressman after 6 months, but he told me the same thing that my case is still under review. Every time I called DOS they say it's still under review. On monday I sent an email to the US consulate at Casablanca this is what they told me:

"Thank you for your email inquiry. Unfortunately, your husband’s case is still under review by USCIS. Once the review is completed, we will continue processing the case". I remember on february when I contacted the NVC they told me that my case was under review at the consulate, so now why is it at the USCIS level? What does it mean? I need help and advice please.

It sounds like your husband has gotten hung up in name checks by being a "match" to someone on one of the lists. Now they have to exclude him from being that person. Depending on how much info they have on "Mr Baddy" it could take a long time to eliminate him as being that person.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Sounds like the consulate in Morocco sent your case back to USCIS with the intent to revoke or deny, which is common in Casa. If Casa sent it back to USCIS they can either agree with the consulate and deny the visa or reaffirm the petition and send it back to the consulate where a second interview will be scheduled. It happens often in Casa. Try to contact other members in this forum who have dealt with Casa. You also need to call DOS and ask them directly what the exact status of your case is and why exactly it was sent back to USCIS. When AP is done at the consulate the case is kept there and further name checks are done in Washington DC, the case is not sent back to USCIS when these name checks are being done.

HI,

My husband had an interview in Casablanca in September 2011 and it was given back for an admistrative review. It took 200 days from December 2, for the USCIS to give me a notice of intent to revoke. They gave me 30 days to get my proof together and send it to them. I took 9.5 hours getting this together and mailed it off the next day overnight. My status has changed to evidence being processed and will have to wait another 60 days to find out if it is acceptable or not. Hope this helps. I know my husband won't be here for our second anniversary, but maybe shortly after that. Good luck

Thank you for your responses, I called DOS today again and the woman said it still under administrative. I asked her why they sent it to USCIS for review she said that they are working on it and it still under review. I pray God that they give my husband his visa, we've been waiting for so long.
