why are you waiting for the case to complete at NVC?When you are in US and when your I-130 is approved, they don't send your case to NVC it just stays with USCIS for Adjustment of status(I-485) and interview at your local USCIS office. You will not get anything form NVC.

Just for advise, the letter indicates specifically that we have to contact with USCIS for further actions like applying for adjustment of status. I have appointment with the USCIS this coming 26th at 9:30 am, when i called about applying they just said to wait for my PD to be current or get a letter from NVC stating that i can adjust my status since im in US already.. I called back NVC and simply they say that all they can send me is what i have in hand already and i also ask them why send me the letter if the USCIS will not jus accept my application for i485. its kind of confusing but to make it clear NVC and USCIS is 2 different agency. USCIS depends on PDs currrent from NVC.

glad to know your case was upgraded - nice.

I am quite sure your case should have an interview for September 2012. If you have not called them as yet, you should and tell them your case is current and they have overlooked setting up an interview. Just keep it current..say nothing about a case upgrade.. Let them know you are a US Citizen and would like to know when would your case be set for an interview. what i would do if it was my case is ... i'f tell them i spoke with a supervisor last week and was told to call back and speak with a supervisor if i have not heard from them,

Keep in mind that if the consulate that will process your cause is backed up then the scheduling delay you mentioned is clear.

what should i say to supervisor?

tell the the first rep you need to speak with a Supervisor.. they may hesitate... however let them know it is in regards to your case and an interview was not set. when u get to the supervsior just ask when should u receive correspondence about an interview.

richardo i did call NVC and spoke with supervisor.

she mention that by the time ur case was upgraded we were already done with interview scheduling for the following month that is august. so now we will schedule for september in first 2 months of august.

but if the embassy contacts us n say that we are backed up and not scheduling for the month of september then we wont b able to schedule

or

if the embassy contacts nvc before that and say you can go ahead and schedule more interviews even before september we will go ahead and notify you via email.

again it all depends on the consulate where u will have your interview

so the bottom line is that i have to do nothing but wait :(
