My second thought was it might be a bogie (Milwaukee - "booger"). "jeez I have a higgs bosun on my eyelid".

But the mods wouldn't have allowed a thread about those as it could lead to comparisons of hooters among various ethnic groups (hooters being noses in English)

Incidentally, the velocity of a booger going backwards after a Higgs Boson collision produces so much energy that it is being studied by NAASA as possibly propulsion system - free donations of such objects by the US population would reach the trillions of items. The climate of Florida, is perfect for the storage of this material.

Well, I knew that there were at least 3 members who would get it without having to look it up but I was hoping that maybe, after reading all of those political reports some might have read something else from the front page news as well . I guess I'm just an optimist .

Yep, read Leon Lederman's book "The God Particle: If the Universe is the Answer, What is the Question" years ago - loved it! Never thought I would find particle physics so enjoyable. I actually sent away for information on a variety of different particle accelerators around the world, including the one is Sudbury, Ontario located miles underground in an other abandoned mine.

I liked Lederman's quote in one of the news articles - that he felt like calling it the Godammed particle because it was so elusive.
