Happy to say we got our approval :dance::dance: Didnt get a "Welcome to the United States Of America" though.

I first want to say thank you to everyone who has helped me get ready for this application and help me answer and understand all the countless things i have asked. I really couldnt of got this far without your help and you all know who you are!

As for the interview, i was worrid sick im not going to lie but honestly the whole thing is so laid back you feel instantly at ease. Its like queing at Argos! Once we had lined up outside for maybe 20 minutes we got to go inside and then took our ticket. There were 3 people at the time for immigrant visa, and after waiting about 30 minutes we were called.

The lady I spoke to was very friendly, I guess she was having a bad day as nothing was working for her but she just chatted away as she was trying to sort herself out. She started out by asking for my passport, pictures and visa bill reciept. She then gave my back my xrays, and then asked for the marriage, birth and police certificates and there copies.

Then she wanted the avidavent of support stuff but only asked for the form and then either the letter for the employer or the pay stubs, she left it upto us to decide which.

She was then having problems with my passport pictures so luckly i had some others with me and so she took them from me and they worked fine. Next I had my finger prints scanned but the machine wasnt getting them right so she has me wipe my hands with a wipe while she got my husband to clean the machine. That was pretty much it in reagrds to her, i was given a form to fill out for the courier and asked to take a seat.

Litrally 3 minutes later we were called again, this time Chris was asked to go and sit back down. I spoke to a nice American lady who could of appeared to be a little off but i think she was just being matter of fact.

I had to have my fingerprints again to verify it was me, then swear i was telling the truth. At this point she gave me back the orginal copies of the marriage certificate etc back.

Next she asked me:

When and how we met?

How Long ago was that?

What my husband did as a living?

What I did as a living? (then went on further to ask how long i have been unemployed etc)

Had I ever been denyed entry to America because of the amount of times ive been there?

How I support myself in America?

When i intend to travel?

She then went on to tell me she is approving the visa and i should get it in 3-5 working days along with a package which i was NOT to open.

I think the reason she asked me alot was because I have been out of work for a big amount of time and i have been going back and forth so much between here and there. But like i said she wasnt off with me or anything, I had the feeling she was asking it more out of having something to ask rather than it meaning anything.

I was asked for NO evidence, no pictures, emails nothing.

And that was it, I came out and paid the £13.50 for the courier and we left!!!!

Sorry its a bit long but it helped me to read peoples whole experience so i could prepare myself. If anyone has anything they want to ask, go right ahead. :)
