I have applied tourist visa before my marriage with my parents but i got rejected.

Then i got married, my husband said that i should apply tourist visa once again because he is lpr and he knew that f2a category takes long tyme for visa..

So after married i with my parents applied tourist visa again but we did'nt told the officer that i have married.. We just applied for tourist visa. And then i again rejected..

Then after that my husband has applied for me spouse visa.. I m in f2a category. My all process went very smoothly.. My case is now completed at nvc andi m just waiting for my interview call...

Now i m very tensed that what should i do?

Is this gonna effect on my case?

Can i again got refused at the tyme of interview???

Can they create any problem regarding to this at the tyme of my interview of f2a category???

Did anything on the tourist application (after you married) ask if you were married and if so what was your response at that time?

Did the CO ask if you were single or married? if so what was your reply?

Also did the CO ask why you wanted to visit? Obviously to see your husband but did you reply a different answer rather than to see your husband?

As long as you didn't lie on the forms or lie to the CO and when you attend the interview this time be honest and tell them if they ask about your prior applications for tourist visas being denied you should be ok

But don't lie to them and try to hide the prior applications they will know.. they may ask why you didnt say you were married at the time of the last application so you need to be as honest as possible but as long as there isn't any information on there that you omitted or lied then it should be ok many people get denied for tourist visas but approved for spousal visas.

may need to prepare yourself for more than a 5 minute interview and possible AP (more women are getting AP now in Islamabad) and then again you may be one of the lucky ones...

But prepare yourself for anything...

The forms almost always ask for your marital status. If you indicated your were single on those forms but you were married at the time you are guilty of a misrepresentation and yes this CAN get you denied. You need to be aware of this risk. Hopefully you are okay but they will know about it.

hello naj. why u be upset? I know what is the sitution of long distance relation ship. I also in the same situation. but Allah help us all. u dont worry about ur peror intervew. when u get intervew then u just tel the truth. dont hide anything pls.. and remember one thing u make me to wait our intervew date so u dont upset about it. we r the same situation. it really so tough to make long relation ship. we dont see each other. but we fell each other all the time. but this is not seen each other. if Allh give us the power, we understand our lonly feelings. then we know how much we love each other. any way keep smil in ur face and just pray.. Did you put your marital status as a single or married when you applied for visitor visa? If you put married you will be fine, if you put single then you screw up.It depends what you said in your last interview as well. Good luck

Ive come back to this as I asked the OP questions as to how she filled out the forms and how she answered the CO during the interview and if at any time she omitted or lied about her marital status.

I decided to look at the ds160 form and here is a sample

http://www.path2usa.com/visa-application-form-ds-160

*I hope this is the right form as I really don't know what b2 visit visa forms to fill out*

so the answer to our questions is YES it does require marital status

my suggestion is to go back at your forms (the ones AFTER you got married and tried to visit your husband) and look to see HOW you filled this in.. IF you put single then yes it was misrepresentation and you can be banned from entering USA.. if you put married then you should be fine

If I were you I would find out what your father listed as your marital status on the visitor visa application. If you were listed as single that is misrepresentation and carries a lifetime ban from the US. I would be more concerned about this than I would about AP.

I dont understan what r u saying..

I applied torist visa in 2010 after my marriage and i think we didnt fill any form.. Just appoint our interview date..

My father told the co that i was unmarried but co rejected us and didnt give us visa.. This story ends here!

But when my husband applied me under f2a categgry 2010, obviously he said that i m married..

Now what are u saying that go back at my forms?? Which form i should go back?
