Has anyone experienced administrative review for name check in the past or present?

05/2005 - Met on line

06/20/05 - first serious e-mails

01/15/06 - traveled to China to meet Yonghua and family

02/24/06 - I-129 F sent (K1 visa) Laguna

03/01/06 - I-129 F delivered at USCIS

03/06/06 - I-129F received date (check processed)

03/07/06 - NOA1 issued

03/10/06 - NOA1 received

06/23/06 - Notice date on RFE

06/28/06 - RFE for IMBRA received and mailed back to CSC

06/30/06 - RFE received at CSC

09/08/06 - NOA2 notice date

09/12/06 - received NOA2 in mail

10/02/06 - received and case number issued at NVC

10/19/06 - Case sent to Consulate in Guangzhou

- update -

05/22/07 - Visa approved

06/15/07 - SO arrives at LAX

07/07/07 - Married

07/24/07 - AOS filed

Yes it took 6 months for it to be complete.

K1

September 15 - 2005: NOA1

October: Waiting

November: Waiting

December: In Security checks

January 2006: Waiting

February: Waiting..Contacted Congress

March 4th: APPROVED

March 17th: NVC posted file to London

March 20th: London Receives file

March 29th: Receive package 3

April 13th: London Receives package

April 19th: Medical - June 13th: INTERVIEW......APPROVED!!!!

June 20th: ARRIVE IN USA

Time taken for whole process 9 Months

October: 13th: Sent off AOS Package

November 3rd: NOA1

November 14th: Snail mail ~ NOA1 ~ Case moved to the CSC for faster processing.

November 14th : CSC has petition for me and my daughter.

December 14th: Biometrics completed.

January 17th: APPROVED AOS!

January 22nd: Green card arrives in the mail:))

Time taken for AOS - 3.5 Months

Finished for 2 years.

Yes it can vary depending on the name check, ours went to administrative review for 2 weeks.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Name/Security checks are a normal process with NVC/consulates but the wait time at NVC is generally not too long as cases may be forwarded to the consulate prior to the name/security checks being cleared. Administrative processing/review usually refers to a legally mandated security check the Department of State (NVC) must do for all applicants/beneficiaries over the age of 16. The length of time one can be held up in administrative processing will vary as some countries are subject to closer scrutiny. The process normally takes four to six weeks. It can be much less but as I said it can take a lot longer. Fingerprints are then sometimes required at consulate level but this is all a part of the initial administrative processing that began at NVC. Once an interview is held a visa will not be issued until/unless clearance has been received. In most cases (again dependent of country), administrative processing will be completed and clearance granted well before an interview is even held.

Got clearance yesterday and case was sent on to the embassy. I was only in adminstrative review for 2 weeks. Good luck to anyone going through this. It shouldn't be long if there are no major problems with your case. :thumbs:
