Question #5 is two yes/no questions.

Will the child accompany you yes/no ?

Will the child follow you yes/no ?

In my opinion the child will accompany and follow, so both answers are yes.

What do you guys think?

Basically it is asking whether the child is accompanying the beneficiary when they come to the states, or will the child come at a later date after the beneficiary is already in the states.

Some people, who have children that are in school, allow them to stay behind a finish their current year instead of pulling them out mid-term etc.... So, both answers are not yes. Either comes at the same time, or follows at a later date.

I hope this helps.

don't forget the OTHER set of paperwork for the child.

it's not enough to answer questions on one form for one person..

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

so, two interviews, same day.

at the interview prepare 2 ems labels, one in her name, one in child's name ....

and tell the IO that the K-2 will follow later, and to SEPERATE the two visa packets, sent under seperate EMS Shipments.

otherwise you'll have a problem at the POE when the K-2 comes in, as his casefile was with the mother's when she came in earlier, and CBP folk are stupid (They want 1 casefile with 1 human, crossing the border at a time)

There's a post from last month about this exact problem - I'll post the link later today.

Great advice! In contrast, my fiancee and her son will be emigrating together in three weeks, and have one sealed packet to be hand-delivered to the CBP officer at their POE for processing. That one sealed packet could pose real problems if they were not traveling at the same time.

Good luck.

The daughter is only 14. Do I still need separate ems labels. Sounds like I do. Because the daughter will travel a month later.

At 14 I don't think the daughter will be interviewed, but she will be there with her mother and do all the medicals and paper work.

Thanks I will suggest the dual EMS labels. Won't the embassy person do this for her? or advise her ?

a VO has little to no time to give advice.

An Embassu Worker, a PRC Person, won't give a sh|t.

The only thing to do is make it blatantly obvious to the VO by TELLING him/her that the child will travel later, not on the same date, and the two visa packets must be shipped out seperately (hence two EMS labels) .

Here's that post I was on about, earlier...
