I Need a Help Regarding DV 2013

Through my long reasearch over the internet I found this forum and I guess this is the right place where I can place my queries and get the reply. As I have already placed my query in other immigration forums, but couldn't get the reply, so I have made my mind to post my query over here.

I have been selected for the further processing in DV lottery for the year 2013, which is pretty awesome, but I have several questions buzzing me all day long, which I would like to share here. First of all I would like to confirm myself is the confirmation letter named as "First Letter" ? Also, how long does it take to get second letter after submitting the DS 120 and DS 230 forms, (I submitted it nearly a month ago, i.e. may 4, 2012)? And another thing that is really bothering me is, I have been already rejected for "STUDENT VISA" twice before, so will I be equally eligible compared to other selectee (both of the times I have been rejected for the same reason, i.e. "I can't afford the college")? Any sorts of helps are appreciable.

Thank you in advance.

Not sure on the first two questions, but I believe it depends on your visa number- the lower, the quicker the processing/ interview.

The rejected student visa has no direct bearing on your DV case. However- had your financial situation improved since? You will need to show you have a sponsor or can support yourself for your first few months in the USA.

You will wait until your priority number is current. You can check what number is current and predict when yours will be current ( some numbers never get a chance because the visas are used up ) Your student visa rejections will have no bearing on your DV visa as long as you didn't lie on them. Any lies can come back to haunt you. ( one person lied about martial state and was asked for divorce paper for a non existant spouse and eventually denied ) If you meet the educational requirements and you can pass the medical you are more or less set. Depending on where you are from they will expect you to have some means of support ( money in the bank, a preexisting offer of work in the US or an I 134 )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Yes that is the number I was refering to. Starting in October when processing starts for 2013 you will watch the "visa bulletin" for the month, When the number displayed for Asia is higher than yours you are current and will be processed. Each area has a prefix AS = Asia AF= Africa and so on. I am not familiar with the Asian process as much but I think you will definately get a visa with a number that small if you qualify. You can google viaa bulletin and see that all numbers are current this year. If you look at the archive ones you can see how they progress. They overdraw winners to account for the ones that are not really qualified for a visa and will be rejected.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I guess I u people are really irritated with my questions, but I want to ask one more question, how long does it take to get second letter of DV after submitting the DS 122 and DS 230 forms?

People say after getting the second letter you visa probability goes to 99%, is this true?

Please help me for one more time

Thank you in advance and have a good day ahead.

Assuming you are qualified and have no criminal history, the fact your number becomes current means you will get a visa. There are some numbers that never become current. A low number is a good thing.

I don't know how long it takes but yes, if you meet all the pre-requisites (education, financials, no major criminal convictions etc), then your visa is extremely likely to be granted.

It's almost August, so I should now soon get the second letter notification and I guess unlike other applicants I should also be prepared for the interview, so can you guys help me with my interview? I mean, can you give me the link of any site through, which I can get the list of interview questions and their answers? Also, should I undergo the medical test before walking to interview? If yes what kind of examination are they going to take?

Thank you in advance.

There is no questions and answers, because the answers will depend on your own case, your background etc. With the DV lottery cases, they mostly ask about your plans when settling in the USA (where do you plan to move to? why there? what kind of obs will you apply for?); most of the interview will concentrate on making sure you meet the educational and financial requirements.

Yes, you will need a medical, It's different in every country (took me an hour in Ireland, takes 2 days in Philippines) but essentially they want to make sure you are reasonably healthy, especially that you have no communicable diseases such as TB,

Nothing quite special to share, but I hope that my second letter is under processing and still haven't got the second letter notification. I want to ask, is my smoking habit going to affect me while I go through the medical test? But doesn't mean I am affected from tuberculosis, I have heard those people whoever smoke generally have smoke kind of marks over their lungs, so will that affect me for getting visa? I hope you guys understood what I mean to say?

One more help please....
