ok here is the whole story, today a good friend of mine when for his visa interview at the embassy in Ghana and he was temperarily denied and asked to come back on a later date with the information they circled on the paperwork they gave him after the decision was made and on the form 1 of the thing asked for was remittance slips in order by dates.

All I could think about at the time to tell him what that may be about was his wife's exit and entry stamps in her passport but if i'm wrong I would want to know now so if someone can help please do cause when my husbands interview comes up I want to be prepared and my friend is really down and needs this advice badly. Thanks.

I do not believe this has anything to do with his wife's exit or entry stamps. The definition says it may have something to do with payments of monies. Maybe some type of receipts?

Why didn't he ask for clarification? I would ask him what was he being questioned about. Remittance would be about proof of something bought or sent possibly. Like maybe they want remittance of money transfers, western Unions, money grams. When he comes back to himself ask him "go over your interview" so you can pinpoint what this is in regards to. Or he should just go back to embassy and ask. He needs clarification this is too important to guess. And just because he got that paper that said that has nothing to do with you. Every case is different don't worry needlessly.

Remittance is transaction of money via different means : mail, as gift and so on... but its more about "BRING IN" nature.

So, If it is asked with Applicant during interview, they are asking about Proof of financial help from his/her petitioner which could be directly money or any other kind of gift. I could think of money transfer via Money gram, Western Union or any other wire transfer. If you go deeper, Petitioner might use his credit card to send nice gift (in my culture YELLOW Gold 24k ) to applicant...
