Does anyone know how to obtain a previous spouse's A# and exact info on previous immigration status.. The I-129 is asking for her A#.. Unfortunately for me, my ex is unwilling to give it to me.. We have been divorced now for 10 years, she is a citizen, and I know my obligation of support is over, I have our divorce papers...If i cant find this info, will they deny my application.. Anyone with experience or knowledge please respond.. Thanks

I'm pretty sure they care more about you than her. Just put N/A and make sure you can prove that you are legally divorced and able to get married.

Right and wrong. Firstly "N/A" means "not applicable" so putting "N/A" would be a lie because that question IS applicable otherwise yes, they care more about him.

No they will not deny you. Put "unknown" for her A#. You're already tied to her file anyway. Give as much info on her as you can remember where it asks for it. My husband wouldn't know my A number nor where to find it so don't stress.

I was in the same boat as you and here is what I did: I acknowledged that I had a previous K-1 and the circumstances surrounding it on a page following the cover page. I provided my ex-wife's full maiden name and full married name and cited the approximate dates (i.e. August 1998)of POE/marriage/divorce and when asked about the 'A' number I put "NOT KNOWN".

I received my NOA 2 with no problems and this was not even discussed at the interview (I was present with my fiancee).

Without a doubt they run a search and confirm all the information.

Good luck!
