thank you everyone. i appreciate it. losing someone isn't easy but javing famlily and friends around helps to cope up. i am just waiting for his death certificate and the call back from the uscis military helpline, they are going to do a research if i have to file for ROC or just go ahead with the naturalization since he died on active duty. i just wanna make sure what's the best thing to do, because it cost a lot of money and time and i still have tons of paperwork to do with the army. thanks for all the advices.

I am not totaly sure about what I am saying, but after spending over 20+ years in the US Air Force you should be talking to the base or post legal office. They have contacts in the Senate and Congress who can expidite your case forward and will cut thru a lot of the red tape that as a civilian you would encure. I am sorry for your lose and only time will heal the wounds. It is sad to see a brother in arms fall. GOD bless you and your family.

I sincerely hope your process is fast and simple whether it's for ROC or straight naturalization. I can't even imagine what you're going through and I'm so sorry that this has to happen to anyone. :(

Long story short, we have a complicated case. We've been at this for nearly 5 years. You can read our story here. I highly recommend our attorney Laurel Scott, as well as attorneys Laura Fernandez and Lizz Cannon .

Filed I-130 via CSC in Feb 2008. Petition approved June 2008. Consular interview in Mexico, Oct 2008, visa denied, INA 212a6cii. We allege improper application of the law in this case.

2012, started over in Seoul: I-130 filed DCF on 7/2, I-130 approved 8/8, Medical at Yonsei Severance 11/20, IR1 appointment in November 2012.

CRBA filed 1-3-13 at Seoul for our daughter
