Hi everyone,

In July 2011 I married a wonderful lady from Uzbekistan, who was here on a tourist visa. Filed I-485 and she already got all her papers to become a Permanent Resident. Everything was OK.

She has a 19 years old daughter still living in Uzbekistan and in January 2012 I filed an I-130 to bring her here too. BTW, I am a US citizen since 1996. The forms were received by Vermont Processing Center and in March 2012 were for some reason transferred to New York for further processing. Since March 6 (the date on I-797 Notice about documents' transfer) we didn't hear anything about the case.

I went to the Federal Building in NYC to the Immigration Office to inquire about the case two weeks ago. The officer just confirmed that the documents were in NY since March 6 and she had no information whether the case was already reviewed or how much longer it may take.

The Processing Times table for NYC doesn't even show that I-130s are processed there. Has anyone had similar experience? What was the waiting time?

Thank you and good luck to all!

Gene
