On Friday, I received my biometrics letter, ASC Appointment Notice for Case Types: I485 and I765, Code 3, with both Application Numbers on the same notice.

On Monday morning, I successfully walked-in to complete the biometrics. I filled out the USCIS form with both application numbers, had my picture taken, and all 10 fingers printed. My notice was stamped with the "Biometrics Processing Stamp" receipt.

On Monday afternoon, I received a second identical biometrics letter, for Case Types: I485 and I765, Code 3, with both Application Numbers on the same notice, and with the exact same appointment date/time as the first letter. Everything appears identical on the second notice, including the bar codes.

1 - Has anyone else received two identical biometrics notices?

2 - Do I need to have both letters stamped?

3 - The big question, do I need to go back to the local ASC office, with the second identical letter, possibly do the biometrics again for both cases (I485 and I765), and get that second letter stamped?

(Keep in mind that both letters are identical, and I received the second letter the afternoon after I completed the walk-in for the first letter that had both cases on it.)

Thanks.

My sister got two letters as well and her lawyer advised her to go for the Biometrics appointment. I dont think it would hurt to go for it. Also, explain the situation to them when you get there

My biometrics appointment was further out in July. I successfully walked-in early with the first letter in hand and completed the biometrics for both I485 and I765. I have received two identical appointment letters for the same date and time. I received the second identical biometrics letter just mere hours after I walked-in and completed the biometrics early.

Regards.

They should but don't always give you notice of the appointment. I have had less than a week of notice before.

I would say it's an error from their part... If you received 2 exact ones, just keep only one!

I got two identical ones also within the past week. Same date, same time, location, etc. I think it is an error on their end. No worries.

It happened back when I filed as well. It's for your record keeping purposes. You have 2 files that require biometrics, I-485 and I-765 so you get a separate one for both even though the info is taken for both on the one letter. It was useful for my personal record keeping to have the letter in both the I-485 and I-765 section of my immigration folder. Not a big deal at all. In fact there are a few of these topics.

Ok cool. Did you get both of your identical letters stamped during the appointment, or just the one?

By the way, the lady that took my biometrics mentioned that I would get a receipt in the mail confirming that I completed the biometrics. I searched around the forums a bit, but I haven't noticed anyone else mentioning receiving a "completed biometrics" receipt in the mail. Has anyone else ever received such a thing in the mail after completing their biometrics?

Thanks.

Just the one stamped and the stamp IS the confirmation of biometrics :S
