Confused with USCIS updates after the interview

well I received the first email for card production 5:54 pm -the same day of my interview 06/26

then I received that they mailed the notices for PR registration and I130 approval - 06/27

then on last Friday I received a second email for card production -- 06/29

till this everything is normal BUT;

today I received another update that they mailed a notice for PR registration , I already received the notices in the mail today 07/02

I was expecting an update that they mailed the GC, instead they said that they mailed me the notice again. I know sometimes USCIS updates are not reliable but I am just thinking if I am gonna need a stamp on my passport because I am planning to go to Canada in 2 weeks

day 1 -- 04/11/2012-- package sent to Chicago

day 2 -- 04/12/2012-- package was received.

day 43-- 05/23/2012-- Notice for an interview is received for 06/26 @ 2pm

day 63-- 06/12/2012-- Received a Text & email for an update- Card production EAD/AP

day 77-- 06/26/2012-- interview / approved on the spot.

day 86-- 07/05/2012-- Received my GC in the mail.

ROC

day 1 -- 04/07/2014 -- ROC Package delivered to VSC

day 16 -- 04/23/2014 -- Walk-in Bio.

day 197 -- 10/20/2014-- Approval Letter received dated 10/16/2014

day 202 -- 10/25/2014-- GC received

Your GC should arrive well within the 2 weeks that you have available, I would expect the the shipped & picked up notifications in the next couple of days. In fact I would be surprised if you didn't have your GC in hand by the end of the week.

By *best* guess is that some USCIS hit the wrong key-code when updating your case. I would be hesitant to not believe that the employee meant to update the mailing/pick-up of your card, but mis-typed the update code.

The other thing that you probably experienced is the usual step where the case-status goes back to "decision" after the GC in production notification-- this is completely normal.

Day 13: 03/09/12: NOA1s received for Forms: I-130, I-485 & I-765. Biometrics letter also received and scheduled for March 27th.

Day 24: 03/20/12: Email notification for RFE.

Day 27: 03/23/12: Hardcopy RFE received in the mail.

Day 31: 03/27/12: Biometrics completed.

Day 40: 04/05/12: Mailed off the RFE.

Day 44: 04/09/12: RFE Delivered.

Day 46: 04/11/12: USCIS received RFE and case updated online.

Day 55: 04/20/12: EAD approved!

Day 60: 04/25/12: Received 2nd "EAD in Production" Email.

Day 61: 04/26/12: EAD Mailed.

Day 63: 04/28/12: EAD in hand!

Day 74: 05/09/12: Interview date scheduled for June 12th.

Day 75: 05/10/12: Interview letter in hand.

Day 108: 06/12/12: Interview.

Day 110: 06/14/12: Received I-485 & I-130 approval emails.

Day 114: 06/18/12: Received I-130 & I-485 Approval hardcopies.

Worst case scenario is that if it doesn't arrive in the mail by Saturday, just make an Info-pass appointment.

However, most people's GCs arrive in the mail in 7-10 days of their card in production notice, so you are well within the "normal" time-frame.

I already went to plan b lol, I made an info-pass 2 days before my trip , just in case.

Some people get greencards without any notice at all or getting a letter after the card. No guarantees, lol.

I know, maybe they meant that they sent the GC :whistle:

Not sure about the GC thing, but for my EAD.. I got 5 email notices, 1 of which arrived AFTER I already had my card. And the USPS notification came 1 week after I had my card in hand. Congratulations and good luck!!!!
