I had my interview interview yesterday October 8th, 2012. I was approved and lady asked me if I wanted to take the Oath same day. I said yes. So both was done same day. That is what I expected. There was no formal ceremony as there was only about 40 people. We just had to take Oath.I am now US Citizen.

She asked me a few questions. What is the capital of USA? What is the capital of USA?

What is the constitution? Who is the President of USA? Who signs the bill into law?

Note: she asked me two times the same question. I think what would be in the interview questions totally depends on the interview taker.

I saw one lady was denied. She was not able to read and write English. They asked her to come back again. In most cased people got appointment for ceremony in different days. I was lucky that mine was done same day. The lady did me a favor by giving me the Oath same day.

Congrats to you Brucer20099. Your journey has come to an end. I have a question for people who are in Oath ceremony que. Since the status can't change on the USCIS website, should expect to get a email/text notification regarding the Oath date or I should just expect to get a letter in the mail? Thank you guys.

You should expect to get a letter in the mail which specifies the oath date and place. My status was changed on USCIS online to "Oath Ceremony" when I got the oath letter from Houston district office.

Thanks. I am glad that I am done. I do not have to go there again. All done. All I have to do is get my passport from post office. :)

Congratulations! What a great feeling after all are done.

Thanks Flying Tiger..

Mine did too but I am still waiting for the oath letter. It's only been more than a week, so I'm not gonna expect any thing so fast.

After my oath, I actually went to USCIS to get a certificate of my naturalization document, as I had to show it to another government instance. So no, for my case it was not done

Thanks. I am not sure. But after they scheduled the interview date, that was the last email update and text message I received. In my case I did not get any email/text after I received text for my interview date.
