N-400 July 2012 Filers

Hi All,

Just to let you know I had my interview this morning and it went smoothly.

Only waited 5-10 minutes in the waiting room.

Most of the initial questions just went over what I wrote on my N-400 form. Then I was asked to read a very basic sentence, as well as to write a very basic sentence, before moving to the civics questions. Once I answered the first six, the test was over.

After signing a few documents, I was given the form that mentioned I was recommended for approval. Overall, probably spent only 30 minutes in the building.

No, they stop at first 6 correct answers, not 5. You've got to have 6 correct answers out of 10 questions.

alterego, may be both right. six or five. My close friend went to interview , that it was only 5.

Well, I am telling you from my personal experience. The officer had a sheet of paper in front of him with 10 questions on it. He was marking my answer as Correct, and also wrote down my response for each. He asked me 6 questions (and I got all 6 correct), then he stopped and at the bottom of the sheet marked 6 and signed that sheet.

But, don't worry about answering one more question right, this part of the interview is the easiest

It does not actually matter even if they ask 10 questions. These questions are really easy. Good luck to everybody and me.

I'm pretty sure my IO stopped after 5 questions as well and as you mentioned, very easy questions (they should all be easy if you studied your 100 practice questions).

I'm glad you got called in within 10 minutes, in my case I waited close to an hour. For a while I thought they had forgotten me as people I arrived with had long come and gone.

Hi guys, I passed my interview today! I waited for more than an hour for my name to be called. The interview took about 15 min. If im not mistaken they only asked me 5 questions, then i had to read a simple sentence and to write the answer. After that we checked the n400 and that was it. They gave me the date for my oath ceremoy which is 10/29.

Yes. They can even bring cameras. Mine will be at the Federal Court house. Can't imagine yours or anyone else' being much stricter than this one lol

Today, my wife got her oath ceremony letter scheduled for Nov 2nd. My case is still showing Testing and Interview status online.

I am wondering if I can schedule an Infopass and present my "recommended for approval" N652 form along with my wife's oath letter to see if they can also schedule me for the same date? How does it sound? any ideas/experiences to share?

I don't see why not. It certainly won't hurt and it would be nice if the two of you were able to take your oaths at the same ceremony. I know that there were families taking their oaths together at my ceremony and if you explain the circumstances, unless there is a problem (which it doesn't sound like) I think they might try and accommodate your request.
