N-400 July 2012 Filers

It's weird how that works, isn't it? I've been scrutinizing the Trackitt site - filtering out all but Atlanta filers... from the looks of that (and assuming that a few just haven't updated, and some have bugaboos in their cases to sort out)... I should be *soon*. One person who has their interview today, got the YL about 2 weeks before their IL, and interview was a month after the date on the IL. So if that's sort of average... (I made a funny, I know), I might see an IL in a couple of weeks.

Not everybody gets the YL - mine just asked for a driver's license or state issued photo ID - nothing special. I get the impression that YL are if one needs to bring complicated paperwork OR just a random spot-check/reminder type thing.

Of course another person got YL 3 weeks ago and no sign of IL yet... so my observation could just be garbage

Sitting tight here - hopefully we're both moving forward soon.

Grasshopr I've been following your progress closely.....Even though you filed just a few days before me, I seem to be a mile behind!!

From what I know, the yellow letter is rapidly followed by an interview date, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

My latest update is still from September 13, when I was stuck in this neverending line awaiting interview. I was the first July filer on here.....been overtaken by so many! I'm very happy for them... but getting impatient!

oh well.....no hope of voting now, for another 4 years. I've set my sights lower now.... My aim now is to get my US passport before we go away for 3 months in February!!

Yey, we can estimate Detroit cases now, it seems July filers send 19 days after me and got their interview 18 days after mine, almost the same

Lol....I'm trying hard, Tiger....now only checking my status once a day, instead of several times a day!!!

I suppose I shouldn't be so impatient...I've been eligible by marriage for the last 2 years....I just wanted to be a USC on my own merit!!

MamaSue - I've been eligible for almost 5 years now GC unconditional since 1/3/03. It was time to decide whether to renew GC or just take the plunge and apply - I don't plan to "go back", this is my home now (since 2000) so might as well make an honest woman out of myself
