Hi Guys, Just an update on my case. Today the online status changed from "in line for interview" to the following message.

On September 18, 2012, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

Hopefully I will receive the IL soon!

Just checked my status online and it said that as of August 7th I was placed in line for interview. It's now Sept 19 and have not received any notification. Also I have not received any letter informing that I'm in line to be scheduled for interview. Is that normal procedure? Thanks!

I just looked at my account with USCIS and the 30 days has changed to 90 days. I called into customer service yesterday and today the language has changed :bonk:

"On August 16, 2012, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 90 days of the date above, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address."

Please can someone add me to the chart!

Mine changed to 90 days too, today. It *was* 30 days. I called after 30 days like it says to - haven't had a call back yet. Called August 31st. Was told they'd get back to me within 15 days (business days maybe?) I filed in late June, have been in line for interview scheduling since July 30th in Atlanta.

Poolmom - they don't send you any correspondence when you're in line, until you're scheduled and receive your interview letter. Some people report receiving their IL without their online status changing. So you might receive a letter before your status changes to "scheduled for interview".

Thanks! I feel better knowing others are in similar situation. I was afraid I had missed the interview letter. I just got off the phone with the most useless customer service agent. She couldn't understand my question and just read off what is on my case status online in a really thick southern accent.

I think there is a huge backlog of applications in Chicago.

I have the same issue. As far as I know, we just have to wait since it's still within the 90day limit. I'll let you know if anything changes on my side.
