We got our interview letter. October 16th at 7:35AM So disappointed it's not in time for hubby to be able to register to vote in this election, but at least he'll be a citizen soon. Question: someone awhile ago mentioned that their interview and citizenship was the same day. Our letter only says interview and testing on US history, reading, writing and speaking English. Will this be his Oath day too? We have family that would like to attend, but if it's not going to be Oath day then there is no sense in having everyone there. Also, it says it will take 2 hours so when would Oath be if there is one?

Updating WhidBeyGirl's interview. Also, to your question, there are some offices that have the facility for same day oaths. Check with your local office if they conduct them. Otherwise you'll receive another letter for an Oath ceremony. In some cases, applicants stay back and prefer to collect the oath letter the same day if possible. Congratulations!

I am happy Today , its my birthday and i got a email that i became a Manager in Jackson Hewitt Tax service branch , i hope to and pray that my IL comes in the mail that will be the icing on the cake that my wish ....lets see... :thumbs::yes::D

Waiting for naturalization is certainly less stressful than the removal of conditionality step. At least, my residency is assured for the next decade.

What I find baffling is that it is taking so long for the background check, considering they conducted one only a few months ago when I removed conditionality on my green card... alas

Hi guys, Im new here and this is my case:

I sent my application July 24 and I received the FP for 08/27 but I walked in on 08/22 due to the storm Isaac. My online status says in "line for intrview" since 08/24. Its been almost 3 weeks and the status has not changed to scheduled interview.

Any idea how long does it take to schedule the interview?

Hi and welcome. Miami....Hmmm.....you should be hearing something soon. Shouldn't be that busy for you. Its not possible to give a time frame. Hi and welcome. Miami....Hmmm.....you should be hearing something soon. Shouldn't be that busy for you. Its not possible to give a time frame. Based on timelines here, those who are in-line for interviews usually see an update within a month and see an interview within 2 months. You are still in the safe zone.

We got our interview letter. October 16th at 7:35AM So disappointed it's not in time for hubby to be able to register to vote in this election, but at least he'll be a citizen soon. Question: someone awhile ago mentioned that their interview and citizenship was the same day. Our letter only says interview and testing on US history, reading, writing and speaking English. Will this be his Oath day too? We have family that would like to attend, but if it's not going to be Oath day then there is no sense in having everyone there. Also, it says it will take 2 hours so when would Oath be if there is one?

Finally received the letter today for 17th Oct appointment. !

Can someone please update my timelines as I do not see the post aligned properly while editing through the iPad
