Great that's amazing,at least July is moving forward, soon we will all get it, but you gave us good sign , only i want to know did ur status change to interview or not ...

No it didn't change. That website is pretty useless. It still show's her I-130 pending and she's been here for more than 3 years.

Hello there!

Take a look at the N-400 instructions. Are you a member of the U.S. Armed Forces or is your spouse a member (i.e. applying under sections 328 or 329 of the INA)? Those applicants should send their N-400 to the Nebraska address regardless of their state of residence. Your application is accepted because you got the confirmation and were scheduled for fingerprints taking. Also, when you type in your application number, make sure you enter all the characters, so if you have an * there for example, you have to include it. Hope this helps.

You know, the online check on that site is not the most reliable thing in the world and you got your NOA, right?. That means they accepted the application for further processing. You also had your biometrics appointment, right? There are three locations where you can file: Arizona, Texas, and Nebraska. But, there must be a reason why you picked Nebraska and sent your application there, as it seems that this location is "reserved" for the military members.

But did your status changed from Initial Review to the next state after finger prints (and before you received your interview letter)?

No, it still shows initial review and she had her fingerprints on 8/15. We got the interview letter a couple days ago.

Yep the website's slow to update, I had been checking every other day and I even subscribed to email alerts and nothing for the last couple of weeks. It had been stuck on the fingerprints status message.

But today I checked my mail (which I check every couple of days) and lo and behold an NOA Form I-797C for interview!

A little notation as I think this info might help others - My original Biometrics appointment date was for 08/22. Encouraged by the EB efforts of others, I did a walk-in on 08/01. My NOA is dated 08/21/12, so that is some proof that EB works!!!! :thumbs: I think I may have saved 2-3 weeks of processing time.

My interview letter states a 0900 appointment for Thursday Sept 27, 2012 @ Fairfax, VA :dance:

Thread admin, kindly update my timeline please.

To the other July N400'rs - Check your mailboxes diligently, don't rely too much on the USCIS site.

For those who have received interview appointment letters, is the interview scheduled for before or after the 3rd anniversary of obtaining the green card?

We won't be eligible until mid-October, and I am wondering if we'll be waiting until then to get an interview, or if they'll interview earlier and postpone a decision until then.

Either way, looks like we have at least 6 more weeks.

Perhaps I was unclear in the prior post, but my question was "Is your interview scheduled before or after your eligibility date for citizenship i.e. 3 years since obtaining GC?"

Yours apparently is after that date, but that is due to your filing after the anniversary. For those who filed early i.e. 90 days or less prior to eligibility date was the interview scheduled prior to or subsequent to that date?

I just passed my 5th year anniversary last week and my interview date is September 4. I heard some people had interviewed too early, but the decision could not make until their anniversary.

Interviews can be and do get conducted even if the 3 year or 5 year mark has not been reached. But in order for the Citizenship process to be completed, an applicant has yet to take the oath and that is only scheduled by USCIS once you have achieved your 3 or 5 year anniversary. I applied 3 months prior to my 3 year anniverary, and am hoping for a interview way before the 3 year mark is reached. The oath is what I am not expecting sooner.

We did our biometric appointment on 8/24. We arrived 2 hours early and they let us go ahead with no problem at all. I was so thankful because even with going in early we still had a 2 hour ferry boat wait when we got to the ferry terminal! Had we gone in at the assigned time the line would have been over 3 hours long and I would have missed my softball tournament. We are hoping and praying oath ceremony will before October 7th so he can vote this election.

Just checked my status online today and..... it says im already scheduled for interview. i just need to wait for the notice in the mail. :dance: :dance: :dance: but my question is on my status it says there on august 17, i was scheduled for an interview. but i sign it to my account and it was updated aug 27, so when did they actually send the notice? but its okay thats not a big deal just kinda wondering.

My first thought would be that they put you in a line for an interview on the 17th.. (big pile on somebody's desk!!) and now they've actually sent your letter out.
