I-751 July 2012 filers

I ordered my tax transcripts on 7/10 and they arrived today 7/16 so I would just request them from irs.gov just to be sure it is what the government sees as "official".

Waiting on affidavits from people - one step at a time.

Hi All,

If someone could answer this question for me i would really appreciate it. We changed our address about three weeks before we filed the I-751 and when we filled out the form we put the new address, my question is will they go by the address on the form or use the old address from past filings? Very worried right now about this.

How many folks are submitting affidavits?

i didn't have any affidavits from friends and family in the package i submitted... i do believe though, that i've got more than enough evidence to prove bonefide marital relationship... but had i known that affidavits would help, i would have included some in my packet...

I'm a July filer, waiting for cheque to be cashed. It's been a week ... package was delivered and signed for. Not sure what the hold-up is!

Speaking of checks, what is the final current amounts we will be paying for US citizenship? $590 for I-751 and $600+ for N-400, Is there anything else to budget?

Mailed ROC packet to Vermont today! Here's what I included:

-Form I-751

-Copy of green card

-Apartment lease contracts for 2 years

-Bank statement showing date joint accounts opened with both names

-Copies of 2 credit cards, both our names, same account

-Copies of Drivers' licenses, showing same address

-Joint Fed & State tax returns for 2 years

-Life insurance policies showing the other as beneficiary

-Renters' insurance in both names for 2 years

-Auto insurance w/ both names and showing change of status/name when we got married

-Ticket & photos of trip back home

-2 affidavits from friends, notarized

-Check for $590

LeoLaLit, we didn't include any affidavits in my husband's packet and he was approved. I think if you have enough evidence to show your financial comingling and the fact that you have a shared residence, you should be fine. Good luck.

if we add what we spent with AOS we have:

$1070 (AOS) + $590 (ROC) + $680 (N-400) = $2340

that's a loooot of money
