I had updated my timeline, but I guess I needed to find the special "filed for" spot - now it is all completed. I wonder if anyone else got a special Christmas surprise?

Yes!! We did. I was filling out the change of address since we moved a week ago and then I checked my status because they have you do that too when you change the addy online. They sent it off on Dec. 21st.

Could someone uptade this for me please in our roster?

Glad you got the surprise for Christmas MSD! I guess it isn't just CSC that is getting its work done, but VSC is too! Merry Christmas! Have you gotten your green card yet?

No I have not received it. Hopefully they send it to my parents in law's addy here and not to the one in GA. I don't want to habe to wait until they forward it. ^^

First of all, congrats on your approval :dance: I read your other posts and found your husband is in military. You haven't sent from overseas, but do you think your case is expedited? I'm asking this because there are no approvals from May and June VSC filers yet except militaly cases...

So what happens next for us July filers? Assuming the 8 month wait that puts us in March/April we hear something. What is that something? An interview date... guess I'm helping keep this thread alive rather then dig into the archives. Thanks much

Where is the filed for spot?

Go to your name up in the upper right corner, click on it, click settings, click the profile tab, then toward the bottom of the page it says "Immigration Status" and you can update yours there, then click save changes.

My DH and I didn't have an interview and he was approved, so I am not sure that an interview would be necessary, but then again, who knows depending on your case. Everything is so non-linear and random.

Well we had asked for an expedite a few MONTHS back because my husband got orders for Korea. Back then I wanted to have the 10 yr green card because we weren't sure if I was coming with him or not. Since I couldn't renew my american DL in Korea, it seemed like a good reason to ask for an expedite. We would have stayed there for 3 years and not driving for years was not an option.

They asked for proof (as always) and we faxed it to them right away. Didn't hear anything about it anymore since. No acceptance, no denial. I inquired a few times at the hotline but people were less than helpful. So I eventually let it go because we decided that he would do a 1 year hardship tour alone.

I want to say if it was an expedite, they would have approved it 2 months ago or so. But hey. What do I know about the mysterious ways of USCIS. ^^

I hope this helps you in some way.

By the way, I got my card in the mail yesterday, December 27th. Wohoo!

Yay, an approval! And a military one ... there is hope for me then. Only change to my case is that apparently I changed my address on December 7, which I did not!

Is it too late to join team July 2012? How can I add our stuff to the VSC list?

Also, it seems like only 1 couple has gotten theirs-congrats!-so the waiting game continues.

It would be nice if it came before March. We wanted to visit my sister in Shanghai...
