i have few questions if u can answer.

1) why did they not accept aos ?did u already submit aos at nvc that's why they don't accept ?

2) and what if we dont have original birth and mrg certi available ? they accept certified copy or notarized one ?

Hi,

Yes, we submitted the AOS at NVC. Also We have to get the AOs at on the day of the interview.

Regarding your second question, I am not too sure on it. You could call up VSF and ask them if they accept certified copies.

Are you saying that you did submitted all the documents for AOS & Packet 4 (DS 230) to NVC and again VFS asked you to submit your birth & marriage certificate originals for the 2nd time.

Hi,

Yes, we submitted the AOS at NVC. Also We have to get the AOs at on the day of the interview.

Do u mean that we hav to submit a copy of AOS form that we submit at NVC or a New I-864 form from the petitioner with New Date and Signature.????

Regarding your second question, I am not too sure on it. You could call up VSF and ask them if they accept certified copies.

Did u submitted ur Original Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate at NVC??? If yes then do VFS again ask for Original Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate prior to Interview...???? If so why.... coz in the appointment letter from NVC it is clearly stated which docs to bring during Interview and if Originals r submitted then that certificate is not required.

This is confusing coz if u already submit ur Original BC and Marriage Certificate...why do VFS guys ask for another Original copy????

At NVC, I had submitted only notarized copies. Hence, I think VSF asked for the originals of the birth certificate and marriage certificate.

Regarding AOS, I am a little confused too and have posted a new topic.

We submitted AOS at NVC. However I was not asked copies of that at VSF.I wonder why?

However I am going to carry a copy of AOS( including copy of I-864 )m signed by my husband at that time at the interview.

U submitted only Notorized copies thats why u asked to submit original copy of ur BC and Marriage Certificate. But i hav heard that inspite of our submission of Original Docs to NVC still VFS guys ask for another Original Copy during Document submission...prior to Interview. This incident has happened recently at Ahmedabad VFS...the guy was in F4 Category.

But i think u should carry copy of all docs u submitted at Consulate ...specially IRS Tax Transcripts of last 3 yrs...They will definitely ask for that....... for sure.
