Dont know why you are quoting my post.....but

Gee whiz ...I was amazed that in such a distance with the internet these total strangers can help each other...Not what has occurred with OP's situation and her man. That is her problem now

Your story sounds like a Turkish Soap that my husband is hooked onto hahahaha!!

:star:

Also was giving Kudos to IHQ

cousins get married back home so the only reason he might have taken the pills is because he might have messed up his greencard LOL

He's avoiding her, and having someone screen his calls. Not a good thing.

exactly...I think she should just walk away

Gee whiz, this is like the American lady on whose husband was chatting with his female cousin back home about meeting up when he went home for a visit. She translated their chats herself using Google translate and his chats were not too nice. She then confronted him and he said she was misunderstanding their chats. She asked him for a divorce, he took some pills and ended up in the hospital. She got one of his friends to translate the chats and it ended up being all a big mistake on her part. She was totally at fault and she blamed herself for the mess. How convenient.  Once again they are back together and everything is just fine.

cousins hook up and get married back home and the american very well might have stumbled onto something..I sure as hell wouldnt ask the husbands friends to tell me what something said LOL..

and dont trust the cousin excuse either...lots of cousins get engaged and later married...

No need to judge and make quick assumptions! Things happen all the time. Give his number to that person that is willing to help you out and just wait for a few days. I am sure you will hear back from him. Keep up your FAITH! Sending you prayers and positive thoughts!

if you read the entire thread the OP got help from someone, her boyfriend is "fine" but has still yet to contact her to explain why he has been ignoring her.

I would just like to say tho the OP, if this man really loves you as he says, there is no way he would ever ignore you for so long and have someone else screen his calls, I don;t care what his excuse is. Obviously he has either lost interest, found someone else, or he never really loved you as he claimed. It seems to me(correct me if I'm wrong) that you have never even met this man in real life, as his family doesn't know you are engaged, and you were afraid that "culturally" you didn't know how they would feel about a woman calling his phone. My husband has never gone missing, I have always known where he is every minute of every day since the day we met, and his family at no time would ever be upset if I tried to contact them if he was MIA, so I'm not sure why you would think culture comes into play if he were not hiding the relationship from them. Please listen to the advice of the women here as they have much experience in real life with MENA men and culture. No one is trying to attack you, they are just trying to help you see the real truth.

It's one thing to avoid everyone that's calling you and another thing to avoid one caller in particular. It stinks, is disrespectful and hurtful when considering their phone is charged/working and the internet is up that someone else is successful in contacting your SO so quickly and you are not after so many tries.

Bingo

Me either because if she never talks to him she's always going to wonder "why", and "what happened".........

I rather she wonders 'why' and 'what happened' than falling back into the charming lies from this shenanigan. I can see him becoming desperate to come over and pulling her back with lame excuses and lies. Is better not to talk to this fella again.... IMHO

I suppose there is a slight bright side to look at which is better to find this out now, then to be in the process of petitioning him to come over ...
