Man menchandfrank i was afraid to hear this would happen. It was a USPS money order. Call post office see if there's anyway you can stop payment on it. In the meantime get that petition filed if you cam. Than address that criminal. Please do not let him get away with this. You say he has been helping for over 30 years. Do you know one person who he has for real helped and not robbed. He's on American soil so there's the Attorney General of Hawaii and the Better Business

Bureau. But better than that is your local TV station (You know those investigative people that love to undercover check people out). Others need to know.

Let mister "middleman" now he will not get away with this and you deserve not part but all your money. Let him know that Dwheels76 (that's me) filed in March like you should have been and already have my NOA2 approval and I am on my way to NVC stage now. Let him know everyday his criminal behavior has delayed you being with your wife. If he says he isn't a criminal than tell him who in their right mind puts stamps on a package so important and he does this for a living. I think not.

Do you need me to come there and deal with him.headbonk.gif Again so sorry. Now get to filing. I'll bring my bat soon.devil.gif

This is why I tell people the to do it yourself. The paperwork is pretty staightforward and there are many people that will help with these forms if you need it ... FOR FREE!!!

The OP stated he did not know that VJ existed and that he could do it on his own. I'm sure had he known he would have opted to do it himself. I applaud him for admitting he made a mistake in hopes that he could warn others.

Fire him right away. Inform him you want a refund. If he jerks you around give him a final timeline. Be courtious until you get your money or he fails to return your calls which he will. At that time inform him you are filing yourself (already start now and forget him) and let him know bad press is what he will receive from you. Draft something very cutting and email him a copy stating this is going on Craigslist and even the paper as you are very angry at how he did you. See if this helps. But fire him right away and even start small claims and report him to BBB.

Good luck and sorry this happened to you.

I agree this middleman is a bit of a con, but what did your contract say? Did it give stipulations as to a timeframe. Because if all you agreed was that he would fill out and file your application then he did do what he said he would do so you can't really sue or ask for a refund.

Just playing devil's advocate, I think he is is a jerk too.

England.gif England!

And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times

It's you, it's you, You make me sing.

You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.

You know I met a "middle man" outside the Moroccan consulate when I first went to get married. He came up to me and started speaking fluently in English and knows all the ins and outs and all the ups and downs about immigration. He said I will do all the paperwork for you for so much money. I declined the offer and saw him again when I went to go file DCF and he said the same exact thing to me when he saw me. He had no recollection of seeing me 9 months before. I said Hey Mohammed how are you doing? And he said, My name is not Mohammed and he moved on. :bonk:

Since your guy sent that packet out without a tracking number I guarantee that letter of yours is lost in the mail room of the service center that you sent it to it could be years before they find it and then again it could be days if I were you I think I would

call the man you are using and tell him he is fired and not to touch your case anymore and then put together a whole new petition and send it in this time with a tracking number it dosent hurt to send two case files to them it only hurt you if they dont

receive one so go ahead and put together a new one yourself and send it in and take charge of this thing and put those fools to the side good luck

Call the police. Make a complaint. It's called "obtaining money by false pretenses." He promised to do something for you in return for your money, that he never intended to do. It's a crime, and if you report it you will be protecting all of his future victims.

I'm sorry if this comes out as a bit cruel or cold, but why the hell would you trust anyone with your personal information, let alone a legal process that could define your future?the onethingthis process teaches you is you have to do things yourself if you want to have them done o. Time and perfectly

This is sad, what on earth were they doing for two months before they even supposedly filed it?

Hope you can get your money back, and file on your own using VJ for help from now on...
