My question is about my daughter who is 20 years old and listed as my K2 and will be 21 in April 2013. I am a May 2012 filer of I-129 petition. Will she be able to come with me in the US just in case my visa is approved. I am just confused from what I read in the CFO where the age for children is up to 19 only ".... The Peer Counseling Seminar is a special session for those with ages 13 to 19 years, which aims to prepare them emotionally for the adjustments they will have to take."

Please enlighten me on this. Thank you for any information that you can share.

You will get your approval around the end of october should you not receive any RFE's it will take about two weeks from that point to have your paper work shipped to the NVC in washington DC whom will give you a case number and then forward it to the embassy in manila after that you will have to under go the st luke medical and then the interview at the embassy if that all goes well it should take about 6-8 weeks so all told from the month of may your petition should be approved and your interview done in manila around 7 to 9 month from the month of may when you turned in your paper at the vermont service center that should bring you to february that only leaves you two months to get your daughter AOS papers in to the chicago

lock box so you must move very fast and be very very good at all of your paper work no mistakes can happen or she will not be able to go with you if she misses this opportunity should you have to put a i 130 in for her it will take her over a decade to get there so be very carefull about how you fill your paper work out and make sure you push to get your interviews on time and also write the uscis and tell them your story and ask them to experdite your case because you have a k2 child that will time out if they dont move fast on your case call vermont service center and ask to speak with a terr 2 manager and tell them your story or she will lose her opportunity to be with you Good Luck should you need more info on this please feel free to write me

ps dont worry about the peer counseling at the cfo they have to accommodate them no matter there age there is only to inform them of the rights and how the laws work and who they can turn to should they find themselves in a bad situation . pay the money and take them to st marys they are much easier going there prism and the others are not as nice also if you are from one of the other islands and not luzon then check with some of the others here they can give a hand with that .

there is no direct line to the Service Centers. you would need to call USCIS National Customer Service Center 1-800-375-5283

Yes you need to get her AOS in and receive the NOA 1 in the mail before the clock stops running for her . It works like this the clock is always ticking for her until her AOS is put into the chicago lock box and You have received a NOA1 then the clock

stops and her age in the eyes of the US government and for the purpose of immigration will always be 20 years of age so you need to move very fast . And dont be surprised if the US Embassy in Manila askes her age alot when she is doing her interview also make sure you have her birth certificates and cenomars and all the required paper work done ahead of time and most of all her passport .

Yea I heard alot of stories about prism you where one of the lucky ones

Update of our request for expedite on reason of aging out. We called the National Customer Service Center last week and told us we will get the reply to our request thru email after 5 days. 5 days had passed but no email so we called again today and informed us it was DENIED. The reason the lady gave us is we have enough time to process, as our petition will be approved by October as per their processing time.
