I have a friend who married a USC man here last January 2012 but my friend decided to go home to the Philippines instead after filing the I-130 for her. Now her petition was approved already but her problem is her passport is still in her maiden and she can't change it back in the Philippines cause their marriage should be declared here at the Philippine Consulate but because of modest negligence, they were not able to do the process. What worries her now is that can she still use her maiden name even if her visa should for sure will be in her married name. She also confused about getting her police clearance under her maiden name. Can anyone here help her regarding this matter. She is worried that she might get denied of her visa because of her passport is in her maiden name still. HELP PLEASE?????

No issue with the passport and NBI being in her maiden name, just make sure she does an AKA for the new married name also. CENOMAR/CENMAR will be a snag as she needs to get the marriage recorded there in the Phils.
