Self employed current income?

Last year's filing meets the 125%

but for a self employed person how does he figure out 'current income', its nearly impossible until all expenses are figured out at the end of the year?

So for current income, is it an estimate how much one will make this year or can we simply put last year's income?

Line 22 of the most recent year's (2011) form 1040 tax return is the number used.

Probably not. Instead, she should do an I-864a. If using a transcript, the number for current income is titled "total income". It would be the same number as line 22 on the transcript.

The parties on the joint return are my father and mother, but mother had no income.

So I might go ahead and do the 864A just to be on the safe side for my mother?
