Hello there! My husband already got his citizenship last may24 and upgraded his petition for me (F2A). He then emailed NVC and got a reply last june 6 that they already received proof of citizenship and already upgraded his petition for me. So last week, My husband contacted NVC via email and inquire for status of my petition but the reply was this: It is currently on a list of completed cases awaiting the availability of visa numbers. This petition will be eligible for an immigrant visa interview when a visa number is available per the Department of State's Visa Bulletin. So we got confused bec as what we knw If My hubby will become Citizen, I no longer have to wait for my visa number to be available. Can anyone help me?? Thanks!

If you cannot get the case number via a phone call or e-mail, it sounds like it is time for an INFOpass appontment where I would take along your husband's naturalization records and all information about your case. If you do get the cae number then I would still make an INFOpass appointment and take everything as before and the case number.

Good luck,

Dave

Making an INFOPASS appointment with USCIS will not help the OP; USCIS not involved with NVC operations and the NVC does not do in-person appointments.
