US embassy in Ukraine. some people say yes 230 and other say only 156 156k. so what forms do they need at US embassy in kiev?

This is what they require:

Following application forms completed in either English or Ukrainian:

2 copies of DS-156 form – Nonimmigrant Visa Application

1 copy of DS-156 K– Nonimmigrant Fiancé(e) Visa Application

1 copy of DS-230 – DS-230: Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration – Part I

These are only the DS forms you need. There are many other documents also needed.

Don't let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.

DS-156 is a online form, so I would submit online then print 2 copies, because there is no download for ds-156 only online?

Its online because it creates a bar code with all the information you fill in. Yes print 2 copies. I would suggest you use internet explorer because many have had problems using other browsers.
