I'm so new with this process, for those already been through and have some experience could you please share,

when the Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBA) what do I need to prepare, what kind of forms do I need to

fill out, and long with passport and SSN for my child? and where you get the DNA test in Ho Chi Minh City?

when i was doing the CRBA for my son (last year), you had to wait at the interview whether the CO requested DNA testing. i would suggest you go there with your SO and talk with the officer if possible, it will help in maybe forgoing the DNA process. having lots of evidence that you guys were together in the same location 9 months before the child was born also help.

Hi Quan, when to do CRBA for your son, where is the locations I read the CRBA info from Ho Chi Minh City site I found 2 address below, Could you please tell exact the location for CRBA, thx a bunch.

#2 & #3 are for exit visa interviews. crba is done at the consulate at le duan, or i think you can also do it at the hanoi embassy if your family is up there.

if you haven't, get your child a vietnam passport. you won't have to do the exit interview when you bring him to the US and won't cost a visiting visa when you go back (within 5 years).
