My wife wants my last name but in all our forms we used her last name is it possible to ask the C/O have the visa and green card to appear with my last Name?

ohhhh did you file her under her maiden name? cuz in my case.. me and my husband got married first.. then he filed for a I-129F and I-130 and he used my maiden name cuz most of my documents are under my maiden name..

The only way to have the visa and green card in the married name is to have a passport with the married name. They will not issue a visa in any other name than what is on the passport.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Yup - at that stage, the only way to 'get er done' is to show up with a passport having the 'new' name.

If she can facilitate that quickly, and have it in hand on interview day, with a PHOTOCOPY of all of the pages of the OLD ONE, it can happen. She'll also have to tell the VO that the visa must be printed using the name in the NEW passport, during the interview.

I know, it sounds redundant, but come on - these fellas have so little time during an interview and this is a procedural thing that must get done in that scant time at the IV unit.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
