Ok, another stupid question

Who should mail the IV Package to NVC?

I assume it is the petitioner if he/she is appointed as agent of choice but in our case the original documents for IV Package are with the beneficiary. Now, should the beneficiary mail the package to petitioner and than petitioner mail them to NVC or beneficiary can mail them directly to NVC? Any advise?

either petitioner or beneficiary can mail the original documents directly to nvc. just make sure the forms are signed by the beneficiary and it has a barcode coversheet.

Is it true that if ever I am under the expidite process--i will be the one who will call the embassy/consulate for an interview??

& if ever I will cancel an expedite request, how will I cancel an expedite request??

It doesn't matter who was selected as agent, either the petitioner or beneficiary can send the IV package to NVC.

I'd recommend the beneficiary sending the IV package to the petitioner along with a few blank, signed copies of the DS-230. In case you get a checklist for the form, there's no need for the beneficiary to fix the mistake and send the corrected form overseas again. By having blank copies sent to the petitioner, the petitioner just needs to fill it out again (correctly this time) and send it to NVC with their beneficiary's signature already on the form.

There's of course people on VJ who have expedited the process. There's no fee. Just call up an operator at NVC and ask what the process is. Unless it's changed, you email NVC with your expedite request, along with proof if applicable. Either the beneficiary or petitioner can do the calling.

And why would you want to cancel an expedite?

Well, just asking. Anyway NVC Told us that Our case is COMPLETE & being approved for expedite processing. Now they told us that if it is An expedite process they will not schedule an interview date instead we will be the one who will call our embassy at manila for an interview date (our case is CR1)

Is this much faster?

Soo what is your advice to us? Cancel the expedite processing??

That's my concern too. Esp now due to the bad weather / flooding in manila. They have been close since last week & resched those applicants... Sooo i guess this month of august

I've been reading on the forum here it seems for Guangzhou the interview date is set around "CaseComplete"+1week. and email is sent on the same day. so just sit tight and wait I guess. honestly no need to call them so often now, because email will be sent on the same day the interview date is picked.

No need to raise this mistake to embassy until they have asked. Just keep updated I-864 with you at the time of your interview and provide only if they ask for one.

yes they are very rude when I called to ask the interview date.

May just start doing some preparation for your spouse's interview. It doesn't really matter if the interview is 2 days earlier or later, just make sure the interview do go well. I have read a couple visa denial cases here and it seems scary to even think about it.
