I suppose it's too much to ask that they could have told my wife that when she called several a couple weeks ago.

Some of the operators must mistake IR-1/CR-1 applicants as K1s or something because I've seen it before where operators have told people their case is complete and it's now being shipped out to the consulate/embassy.

I suggest calling NVC and seeing if an interview date has been assigned yet.

Don't wait on any AOS information from NVC. If the bill is appearing as PAID, then send the AOS package!

The IV bill will only be invoiced once the DS-3032 has been accepted and added to the case file.

Saylin, Thank you for answering my Q earlier.Do I submit certified copies to NVC as part of package DS 230 and have my beneficiary display originals to CO during interview?

hey whatever u submit with ds230 they will return u at time of interview..so if u have have originals put it unless u have other work with them..if u do not have oroginals then use certified copy..

AOS and IV coversheet are not the same. "Attention" field in address are different for both packages.

NVC will schedule an interview at your foreign consulate when they receive available slots from the consulate. Otherwise just keep waiting.......

Exact same thing happened to me (see my previous couple posts in this thread.

My wife just got off the phone with Liam at the NVC. He seemed courteous and professional (she had him on speaker phone). He said the same thing as smart84 just posted, basically. He said me and my wife both will get an e-mail when the interview has been scheduled. And yes, he confirmed that our case was completed on July 2nd. Apparently the physical papers are still at the NVC.

That's true. All IR1/CR1 immigration visa applicants have to wait for their foreign consulate to give available interview time slots to NVC, and then NVC will schedule an interview date.

One day I asked one nice operator and she gave me a very detailed answer about this procedure. This is what I recall she told me: "Once your case is completed it goes in foreign consulate interview queue for appointment scheduling. We have a department with bunch of officers who work periodically with foreign consulate officers to get available time slots which happens usually in first two weeks of the month, but there is no guarantee it won't happen for other two weeks. NVC assigns interview date from available slots on first come first serve bases based on your case complete date (NOTE: though I have personally seen some inconsistency thru VJ users in first-come-first-serve scheme). This is a manual scheduling process done by NVC officers."

Based on my one month wait in July to get an interview date, I think it's totally pointless to call them everyday. May be to call them once in 2 or 3 days is sufficient. You will get an email immediately when interview date scheduling is done in their system. Based on my observation in last 3 months, I have still not seen ONE person on VJ who waited for a date, and found out their date via phone and but did not receive an email for few days.

More you call more you will get frustrated at NVC because of long wait to get an interview date.

this interview date scheduling is driving me nuts... i am not told by nvc that they schedule the interview. before, they were telling me that embassy schedules the interview.

There's a hidden scheduling queue at NVC, for GZO casefiles headed to GUZ IV.

The NVC TeleOperators you speak with on the phone, know nothing of it. They have no training about it. However, you are receiving the verbiage they ARE trained to say.

Sorry.

In the meantime - stay positive - you should have 'interview date scheduled' on or before Wednesday of this week, as yer certain of your 'case review complete' date.

If you'd like further clarification from a NVC Human, by all means call back, talk to a Supevisor, and inquire about the next step for scheduling for a GZO casefile.
