It's almost July, here's the monthly NVC thread. Frequently Asked Questions:

Either tax transcripts ordered from the IRS, OR tax returns PLUS W2's PLUS all applicable schedules - in short, everything you sent to the IRS.

If the petitioner answered YES to all 3 questions, that only gives him the option of filing I-864EZ instead of I-864. It doesn't mean they SHOULD use the I-864EZ - they MAY fill out either form.

2009 Met in Mexico and got engaged

2010 I moved to Mexico and got married

2012 I moved back to U.S. by myself to work and send i-130 petition for him.

June 25th, 2012 - our 2-year wedding anniversary!

USCIS - I-130

24 FEB 2012 - NOA1

11 JUN 2012 - NOA2

NVC - MEP

2 JUL 2012 - Case Received at NVC

19 JUL 2012 - Case number, IIN and Beneficiary ID received, gave e-mail addresses!

23 JUL 2012 - Was able to log in and fill out the DS-261 and I made myself the agent! I also stated that I was assisting the beneficiary ( since I signed in as him )

24 JUL 2012 AOS fee available and paid through the payment portal - direct deposit

25 JUL 2012 AOS fee shown as paid!! I-864 package e-mailed to NVCelectronic@state.gov

01 AUG 2012 IV Bill Invoiced and paid

02 AUG 2012 IV Bill shown as paid and DS-260 completed and documents sent!

08 AUG 2012 RFE! :crying: sent passport photos wrong, so re-sent!

15 AUG 2012 case COMPLETE!!! Yay!!

13 SEP 2012 Received Interview Date! OCT. 5th!

20 SEP 2012 Scheduled ASC appointment by calling 7034392313. Two days earlier I logged into the website but it said there were no appointments available. But when I called, they scheduled an appointment for me. :)

Yeah, it's specific for Canada, but a lot of other EP/online form countries can still follow it, with perhaps a few things being different.

yay!!! BIT, please keep us updated because you are the only MEP case I know that won't need a waiver...or will you? Either way, I really hope to know how it all goes! :jump:

Yeah, I totally understand that! In Mexico mail is also very unreliable! But it's definitely good to have copies, just in case something gets lost. :). If he's not going to be there for your interview, you should consider having him scan you the documents. :)

I have a quick question, am the beneficiary and we paid the IV bill yesterday... The Divorce certificate that we are meant send in, is in mine or his?, although this is my first marriage and have never been divorced.

Sorry still confused.. The IV package is meant for the beneficiary, so am thinking it should be everything concerning me... When filing the I-130 h sbmitted a copy of his divorce certificate

Okay now here it goes. The I-130 is the petition from the Petitioner so its all about the US citizen/LPR. Once we get to NVC the Beneficiary is now to complete the Immigrate Visa Application DS-230. So its all about the Beneficiary.

Any form that's an I is Petitioner any form that's s D is Beneficiary.

So you the beneficiary never divorce have nothing to submit. He the petitioner already did his part.

But do have a photocopy od his divorce decree at interview.

On bus with no coffee going to work not bad. LOL ;)

this is retarded... now i got a request for packet 3 from the nvc (according to operator it will be emailed in a few days)... more delays.. retards could have just mention that i need to submit ds230 with p3 at the same time.
