That makes sense. Because they said on July 2nd they received it but they couldn't tell me that until July 5th. And some operators told me July 5th.

Deb, that's not good news at all...how is my husband going to get all that time off from work to wait for the visa? Snail mail is extremely unreliable in Mexico... :(. But thanks for your help hon!

All visas are done through dhl you can pick whatever dhl you want in Mexico even if you request it in ciuda Juarez it will come through dhl and can be the same day or a couple days. You don't have to wait in Juarez if you don't want to.

Oh so I just got this e-mail: the subject was RE: (my affidavit of support package e-mail)

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your correspondence.

We received electronic documentation for this case. Please allow up to 20 business days from the day the email was sent for the scanned attachments to be uploaded to the electronic case file and reviewed.

IMPORTANT:

Do not let more than one year pass without contacting the NVC concerning this visa petition. If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact (by telephone, mail, or e-mail) with the NVC, all submitted fees and documents expire. If this occurs, the fees must be paid again and documents must be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

As this case is processing electronically, all forms and documents must be sent via email as scanned attachments to NVCElectronic@state.gov .  Sending physical documents to the NVC will delay the processing of your case.

My husband and I are making a checklist of documents he may need at the interview and I'm wondering if he should bring some of the things I previously submitted with the I-130. When I initially filed our I-130, I submitted a five page document with several photos of us with family and friends, copies of our apartment rental contracts that list both our names (I've live in his home country for almost two years, 1 1/2 years with him), and a one page document detailing how we met and our life together since we met.

Should my husband print copies of these forms to take to his interview or will they already be at the embassy with our other paperwork? Also, we have a business together and a joint bank account in his home country. Should he take copies of those documents if they were not included included with the I-130 package? Any other suggestions on what to take?

Your husband should most definately have a copy of the I-130 package. Reason is all queries, questions come from what has been looked at. I have seen interviews where CO asked about a person the couple talked about in an email places, old things forgotten depending on what you submitted. The package is their interview prep they need to know what you submitted just to be comfortable and know what the CO saw, what USCIS sw, NVC saw and may have made nores. A good looking out I feel.

Oh and me and mu husband have a business together also. I submitted our incorporation papers for here in Texas and for Nigeria. My power of Atoorney I had throughout these 3 years. So yes bring that also. Contracts with vendors, designers of web site all that I have.

And any joint things you have since you filed, bank, credit cards, health insurnace, life insurance, utility bills, phone bills, club cards. Bascially anything with both your names on it. Mail coming to your house with his name on it is good. ANYTHING! This is Lagos full ARSENAL (and I don't mean the team) you must be ready. No such thing as too much at this embassy.

Bring EVERYTHING possible as proof of relationship. Even stuff you've already submitted. You should bring a copy of everything you've ever submitted, both to USCIS and NVC. Here's a good list of bona fide marriage evidence: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/284203-evidences-of-bona-fide-marriage-relationship/

Please keep in mind, once NVC reviews a package, they typically generate a (false) checklist for the other package. They do NOT check first if the other package is already in the building (or in your case, been emailed). They just send the checklist automatically.

Hey, Saylin, I was kinda hoping I'd get the IV invoice by now...anything I can do besides keep checking the portals? Just curious!

You just have to wait for the NVC to review, accept, and add your DS-261 to the case file. Until then, not much to do. There's probably a lot of online forms to go through, so the wait time might be the same as DS-3032s: 1-2 weeks.
