Sorry, I just realized, you were quoting from Saylin about calling for an interview date, not a case number. And that answer is simple. It's cheaper and easier to plan traveling to the interview with as much anticipation as possible. If you wait for snail mail, it will take that much longer before you can plan your trip. :)

It's almost July, here's the monthly NVC thread. Frequently Asked Questions:

Either tax transcripts ordered from the IRS, OR tax returns PLUS W2's PLUS all applicable schedules - in short, everything you sent to the IRS.

If the petitioner answered YES to all 3 questions, that only gives him the option of filing I-864EZ instead of I-864. It doesn't mean they SHOULD use the I-864EZ - they MAY fill out either form.

Hey everyone, long time no post...

I hope everyone's process is moving along.

July was pretty eventful...he went for medical, we went to interview, received visa and had POE!

Thanks to God and everyone's help in this forum our process is over! (Until ROC that is...LOL)

Does anyone here who knows about the average time of how many days/weeks will one be able to get his/her passport with the visa after an interview in the US embasy:Manila?

And you know our police certificate is" NATIONAL"

Now, we have to fix this issue as soon as possible.

And this issue is NVC's fault.

Your AOS invoice will be issued shortly. Your DS230 invoice will only be issued once you DS3032 has been accepted. Did you. Give the operator both email addresses? Petitioner and beneficiary?

Unfortunately at this point, you just have to wait. Get your packets ready to send. Check everything three times over.

03/09/12 - I-130 package sent

03/12/12 - package received

03/14/12 - NOA1 received via email

03/22/12 - APPROVED - NOA2 received via email - USC living abroad (8 days)

03/27/12 - NOA2 received in mail

NVC Stage - 34 days from case number to case complete - including messy RFE

04/17/12 - Case has arrived at NVC

04/27/12 - Case number received (25 days from approval)- sent DS3032 via email

05/02/12 - AOS bill received via email

05/03/12 - AOS bill paid via portal & DS3032 accepted

05/04/12 - IV bill received and paid. AOS bill appears as PAID.

05/05/12 - IV bill appears as PAID. Still waiting on replacement marriage certificate.

05/11/12 - DS230 and I864 packages (without marriage cert) sent to joint sponsor before being forwarded to NVC

05/16/12 - marriage cert sent direct to NVC

05/17/12 - I864 and DS230 sent to NVC overnight via fedex - received 05/18/12

05/25/12 - checklist for original marriage and divorce certificates - marriage certificate delivered to NVC

05/30/12 - divorce certificate delivered to NVC

05/31/12 - AOS package accepted - thrilled!

06/01/12 - CASE COMPLETE!!!!!! (email received)

06/07/12 - Interview Date Assigned

06/08/12 - emailed Sydney IV to request earlier appointment - approved 07/03/12

07/11/12 - INTERVIEW DATE - APPROVED

10/06/12 - POE LAX (then onto Seattle)

1.Wait for your AOS bill to be invoiced-within 1 or 2 days

2.Then pay for it

3.After DS3032 is accepted-need 1 week to be accepted

4.Iv bill will be invoiced-1 or 2 days

5.No DS3032 acceptance no IV-immigration visa bill invoice

6.read this thread at the first page

This is weird. My spouse (the beneficiary) sent DS 3032 explicitly mentioning she is putting me as agent. Called NVC today, they said 'she chose to be her own agent'. The NVC service rep mentioned though it really doesnot matter since I can pay the fee and send information (IV packet) anyway - will not matter and as they have both our emails they will send the same correspondence to both of us anyway.

but I find that DS 3032 thing weird, that email explicitly said (copied from VJ wiki) "I am assigning my spouse as my agent...."

On the bright note, they accepted the AOS and said IV should be invoiced soon.

07/16/12 - Receive and Sent DS-3032 via email.

2010 I moved to Mexico and got married

2012 I moved back to U.S. by myself to work and send i-130 petition for him.

June 25th, 2012 - our 2-year wedding anniversary!

USCIS - I-130

24 FEB 2012 - NOA1

11 JUN 2012 - NOA2

NVC - MEP

2 JUL 2012 - Case Received at NVC

19 JUL 2012 - Case number, IIN and Beneficiary ID received, gave e-mail addresses!

23 JUL 2012 - Was able to log in and fill out the DS-261 and I made myself the agent! I also stated that I was assisting the beneficiary ( since I signed in as him )

24 JUL 2012 AOS fee available and paid through the payment portal - direct deposit

25 JUL 2012 AOS fee shown as paid!! I-864 package e-mailed to NVCelectronic@state.gov

01 AUG 2012 IV Bill Invoiced and paid

02 AUG 2012 IV Bill shown as paid and DS-260 completed and documents sent!

08 AUG 2012 RFE! :crying: sent passport photos wrong, so re-sent!

15 AUG 2012 case COMPLETE!!! Yay!!

13 SEP 2012 Received Interview Date! OCT. 5th!

20 SEP 2012 Scheduled ASC appointment by calling 7034392313. Two days earlier I logged into the website but it said there were no appointments available. But when I called, they scheduled an appointment for me. :)
