Amen I don't blame you. unlockingsky you have to realize those of us from tough Embassy have to do all we can to prove ourselves innocent. We have already been deemed guilty. Whatever we can do to prove relationship and we are real and not fraud, scam or sham marriages we have to do. Some front-load at USCIS some didn't know and found VJ and they are doing at NVC whatever it takes to get evidence into that CO's hands is worth any delay. I feel.

i understand your anxiety. but sending in stuff after it is approved will still reach the CO. i highly doubt that they would give you a interview date that within 3 days of assigning it. they would realistically give you time to do medical before your interview day.

it is your application, you do what is comfortable... just keep a open mind on your options. if your embassy is terrible, then it is terrible. the only thing i would add to that is to keep in contact with a senator just in case it goes sour.

Hi everyone, my I-130 was approved on July 17. That is the date on the I-797. But when I called NVC they told me that my case was received by NVC on the 16th. Isn't that a little strange? That is a bit strange blink.gif

not strange for us. We also got a date they receieved it before the NAO2 approval date.

infact they have two dates at the NVC but still no case number.

July 9th NVC got it delieverd, Then July 13th was the next step at NVC.

We got our NAO2 on July 11.

So why does NVC give me two dates? July 9 and July 13?

A couple comments/questions:

My case was completed on Tuesday. That same day I received a checklist. It really scared me but looking closer it said to bring a supporting document to the interview (an 864a). I've already sent an 864 and 864A but there's some confusion there, so I guess I'll bring another to the interview.

About getting the interview date: Do you think it speeds the process along to keep calling the NVC or DOS? I'm overseas so these would be skype calls. Strangely, in my NVC experience, every time I called there seemed to be a flurry of action that day. So maybe calling DOES something.

What do you think?

You asked an incomplete question and got an incomplete answer. That's the way I see it. NVC operators won't have any update on your AOS and IV package until reviewed by an officer. If you have asked them "when do you update AOS/IV package status?" you would get an answer "only after it's reviewed".

Being that they haven't gotten to your emails yet, the operators know nothing about your AOS and IV packages. It's only logged in their system once an officer actually gets to reviewing your packages.

Calling doesn't speed up anything. If it did, everyone here on VJ would be calling 24/7 and get an interview date within an hour. If it's costing you to call, then I suggest don't bother, and just wait for the interview letter.
