The only disadvantage is that NVC won't get your AOS as soon as possible. But in your case, it looks like a difference of one way, so not a big deal.

And no, it doesn't really matter who signs a cover letter. I personally signed my own IV cover letter as the IV package is about the beneficiary.

Thanks Saylin. I guess the point is moot. IV Invoice shows as Paid too...woohoo!

I'll try to get both packages out today.

Hey everyone! Congrats to all with case completes... :D

Sorry to be a pain, but just a few NVC queries I hope someone ( Saylin? ;) ) can help out with ...

- our AOS has been processed and paid, and the documents are just about to be sent off. However, we sent the DS-3032 choice of agent email when we received our case number last week – but have received no response yet. IV visa isn't yet invoiced/processed. Do we just keep waiting until we receive an email about the DS-3032? We're kind of confused because we received a choice of agent PDF file – I'm guessing we ignore this?

- secondly, I've tried looking over the UK forums but couldn't find a definite answer. Can I schedule my medical now, seeing as I have all of the case numbers/IDs etc, before NVC is done processing? From the London embassy website, it says an interview will NOT be scheduled until the medical results are received. So, I'd rather do this sooner than later if that's the case. I just wasn't sure if it is possible, and can't find a proper answer.

It's taking NVC awhile to get to DS-3032s (around a week or so). The PDF you received was in no connection to the email you sent them, so yes, ignore it. Once NVC does get around to your email, they'll reply to it (with either an acceptance or rejection). Just be patient, and wait. And keep an eye on the payment portal. The IV bill may be invoiced before you receive a reply.

For the UK, yes, you can do advance medicals. You'll need your PCC I believe (country-specific for UK), along with the other usual stuff: passport, letter from NVC with case number, passport photos (3 needed in Canada, not sure about UK), and vaccine record/documentation. And payment, obviously (nothing's free anymore :P ). You should look at this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/8321-london-medical-knightsbridge-doctors/ 45 pages long and all about the panel physician in London! You should be able to find everything you need there.

Firstly, thanks for all your help!

Okay, the DS-3032 was sent over a week ago, but I appreciate it's taking some time (it took long enough for NVC to receive it, let alone issue a case number and invoice! :)) I'll just hold fire and keep waiting and checking the portal. Thanks!

That's good to know - thanks. I guess I'll try and schedule it soon. It's quite expensive! I'm quite terrified they will discover something... I'm in good health, but it's my worst fear something awful will be found (I have a fear of doctors in general). Thanks for the link – I had read parts of it, but just couldn't find anything specific that was recent enough to confirm either way. Thanks again!

If you don't hear back by next week, you can re-send it if you want.

And yeah, the medical can be quite expensive. And I had the same fear as you ;) Thankfully, nothing was found :) You can always try searching in the UK forum (where that thread is) for something more recent. Although, I'm sure things haven't changed that much over the years.

Yesterday I received my IV bill. Paid it this morning. I'm going back through the DS-230...making a list and checking it twice ♫♪ ...and preparing to send that puppy off as soon as I see the PAID status.

Here goes EVERYTHING!... :clock: let the waiting begin... again. I'm seriously afraid to ask how long approximately until case complete?

I can't say it will be the same for you, but just to give you a gauge, my case completed less than one week after my IV package was delivered to NVC.

I am so done. I think I will just back off and I'll wait for Monday. So tired of the disappointment. This is crazy case# is one thing but 26 days to get a case from across the country. Than they want us to do their flippin job and send them our approval letter. That shows they don't speak to each other because excuse me didn't I just give you a dang receipt number. Why can't they pull it up? Why wouldn't they know it says approved and when it was sent to them? My bad thats too much like right.

Such backwards inefficiency. ugghhh I am just so done. I swear I just don't care. I will just wait for a letter that probably will never come.:crying:
