The AOS does not show at all, now when i log into the payment portal. I am assuming that is a good sign. Can anyone tell from experience, how much longer it takes to get the invoice when this behavior occurs? Should i expect to be invoiced today?

We experienced the same thing :) now were waiting for the invoice :)

So far, based on what you've written in this post, I think yer 'spot on', for the activities that can occur with NVC Electronic Procssing.

Currently, you are waiting for the DS-3032 to be detached from the OPT IN Email, and be added to the casefile. This takes up to 11 calendar days, currently (Not Business Days) . Relax a bit, do some yoga for the next 4 days, or join my Aunties Club for doing Tai Chi at 5 in the morning; yer choice.

You still need to wait. Waiting is OK, for now...

Current Predicition - IV FEE BILL arrive no later than Thursday of next week, USA Calendar.

Be Patient La... Or I make you cook 900 Venison Jiaozi between now and next Thursday, getting your Aunties to help.

whoa. Whatever yer smoking? Stop it. Bad Advice, la.

thanks Darnell. yeah I been reading a lot of guides/experiences on the forum and asked quite a few questions before I started the NVC process. things with NVC seem so messy and even like a secret, I wonder how can people get on the right track if they don't visit a forum like this.

900 Jiaozi sounds a lot to eat for the next 5 days haha.

900 Jiaozi sounds a lot to eat for the next 5 days haha.

Agreed, but once you cook them (with yer Aunties) yer gonna give them to the poor people. So it's not so much, really...

For you, it's a great way to pass the time , whilst waiting for that next step, the next gate, the next trigger.

Anyway - remember - most people here are on the 'paper track', whereas YOU are not. The majority of 'help' you read about is for paper casefiles, not those for electronic processing headed to Guangzhou. Heck, even Canada EP is different than Guangzhou EP, so it's not the same master forms...

In the end, if you are using the EP timeticks (that I've posted to you before) then you'll have a great idea of where you, and what's next. Hang in there !!!

And don't forget - when calling into NVC - the NVC TeleOperators know nothing of EP process for Guangzhou. You could train them, of course, but that gets tiresome to train during each phone call.

Edited by Darnell

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Grats! Plenty of time to completely prepare for the interview!

Thanks Saylin. Any pointers where to start for the preparation? I was just planning to go over the interview process and documents submitted with my wife 1 week before the interview. What else do I need to do?

I also had a question: For India, we have to submit passport and any pending documents 4 working days before the interview. Does anyone know if the Proof of Ongoing Marital Relationship should also be submitted then or if should be brought to the embassy on the day of the interview? Thanks!

______CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS:_________________________________

We are waiting for the form DS-3032 (Choice of Agent) that was previously

sent to the beneficiary. This form tells us how to contact the beneficiary

during the immigrant visa process.

The agent selected by the beneficiary can be the petitioner, another

relative, a friend, an attorney, or a charitable organization, such as a

church or other immigrant assistance organization. Mail delivery is often

unreliable in many parts of the world, so we strongly suggest that the

beneficiary choose someone who has an address in the United States.

It is acceptable that the beneficiary not name an agent and have us

contact him/her directly. If the beneficiary is unable to locate a copy of this

form, he/she may notify the NVC via a letter or an email, which indicates

his/her choice.

Regardless of the beneficiary's choice, the beneficiary must notify us of

his/her choice before we may continue processing this file. In the event

that the beneficiary is under the age of sixteen, it is acceptable to have the

beneficiary's parent or guardian sign the form.

thanks for the tips man. I am surprised too about the fact that nvc phone operaters are mostly helpless. They are like machines I supppose, answering hundres of phones each day and just literally verifying case#/name/dob, and then tells you just wait and wait and wait. Well, at least we paid hundreds in fees, we created jobs for them.

Thanks!

I wouldn't suggest waiting until 1 week from the interview to get ready. Get ready NOW. Start going over the form NOW. If you gave all the blank forms to her, would she be able to fill them out perfectly? If not, you should go over them a couple times per week until she can. I don't know how hard India is, but she should know all the answers on the forms like the back of her hand. And go over ALL the questions here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Consular_Interview_Questions Tell her to go over the forms and those questions as often as she has time for them.

I don't know anything about VFS. But I don't think you submit anything except the passport. The proof of relationship is brought to the interview. Which, by the way, you should be getting together now (if you haven't gotten it all ready yet).

I received the email yesterday July 20, 2012.
