NVC Filers - July 2012

Just got an email requesting:

IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The National Visa Center is waiting for an Immigrant Visa Application to be submitted for this case.

The Principal Applicant and any other Applicants who will be accompanying him or her to the United

States must now download and complete an Immigrant Visa Application; please visit the following

website for instructions:

http://immigrantvisas.state.gov (click on the link for "submit Visa application and civil documents")

Please submit the Immigrant Visa Application form(s) and required supporting documents for each

Applicant in one package to the National Visa Center; sending this information separately will delay

your visa.

I'm assuming this is the checklist referred to in the FAQs that we should ignore if we have already submitted both the AOS and IV packages. But I just wanted to verify.

Congrats! Our AOS packet arrived the same date as yours.

But haven't heard anything from NVC yet

And IV packets just arrived one day after yours.

Hope we can hear any news soon

Completed my ASC Appointment (7/19) everything went very smooth, now just three more weeks till interview

Just Today a few minutes ago, the operator at NVC told us it now takes 10 to 20 business days instead of 20 that we heard the first time. we are still waiting for the case number.

Today's Question for the NVC TeleOperators (since yer gonna be calling anyway) ..

Does the Onsite SERCO Supervisor know that you're giving the wrong answers to these questions? How do you feel about that?

hi guys! just wanted to ask again.. I sent my DS 3032 under my married name, is it right? or i should have use my surname when i'm still single? Will my husband receive an email for the invoices or anything?ur replies will be greatly appreciated.thank you!

My husband called NVC today and a case number was assigned! I'm so happy!! but i would like to know what do i need to do next? and how long should my husband and I expect to wait before we hear from NVC via e-mail? The costumer service didn't tell him when

Yup, that's what we call a false checklist here on VJ. That's excellent news. This is a very good indication that your AOS package was reviewed and accepted. I suggest calling NVC asap and ask!

Yep! Just called. The AOS was accepted and they don't need anything else in regards to that. Now just waiting for the IV to be accepted.

BEST NEWS EVER..............I CALLED THIS MORNING AND ONLY LIKE 3 MINUTES ON HOLD, GOT A VERY NICE LADY (WHICH I THANKED HER PROFUSELY FOR) AND SHE TOLD ME HAVE A ................

She of course told me to call back the third week of August because that's when interview dates are set, but I know better! When should I start calling them? In about 2 weeks or so....?

Also, just like there are the monthly NVC threads, are there any monthly interview threads to get us prepared?

First off, you're not single anymore, you're married (unless your profile and timeline are incorrect).

What name have you been using on the forms so far (should be the same name as in your passport)? Stay consistent.

If you gave over both email addresses to an operator once the case number was assigned, then all correspondence is sent by email.

Just called NVC to find out about my interview date. The operator said "You should call back in the 3rd week of August to find out the interview date"
