so you can get more than just the case number sometimes?

if not... do you have to wait 2 or 3 days normally to get the invoice number?

thank you.

NVC case number and IIN gets generated at the same time. IIN is needed to login to their payment portal to make AOS and IV payments online.

In my case operator did give only case number initially. I called up again after 15 minutes and got IIN from other operator. But both will be available at the same time, but some operators may say BS for not giving IIN.

my routine when calling to NVC in evening:

1. Go home from office and redial NVC number press 1 immediately after automated message is started.

2. Leave handset on my desk and go for a pee then take a quick shower in 10 minutes and come back.

Still that freaking male voice keeps uttering the same message

Back in May that same male freak was at least telling if wait time will be more than 5 minutes or not. But now it's not even saying at the beginning of your call. :o

I noticed that too! And now, they just put you in queue for....however long.

I have gotten to where I call around 11pm EST, seem to get more interesting people at that hour, and it amuses me.

Yesterday was told that hubby's interview wouldn't be scheduled until Montreal received the case file and reviewed. Oh really? Last I knew, file was sent AFTER the scheduling, and I stated as such to operator, who gave a long pause.... So I asked when our case was anticipated to reach Montreal, and he replied it hadn't left for Montreal yet (I already knew that!). So I asked when it was supposed to leave, and she says "a letter will be sent to you and your husband once Montreal has received the case file". Oh geeze, thanks for your time.

At first I was angry, now I admit...it's fun, in a sick way. It's like that old game, "You are shipwrecked on an island that is populated by two tribes: One who always lies, and one who will always tell the truth"......

Anyways, glad to see NVC is picking up pace with assigning case numbers....wooooo!

I had gotten my NOA2 on a friday night. I called monday morning. Just to hear their voice. I told them I know its just since friday but was just curious. The nice lady had told me it usually takes 15 business days from approval for them to receive. Than she said depending on the type case is how soon a case is given.

Tomorrow is 15 business days for me. :D

Yep you never know thats why calling every day can't hurt. Dana and Divine she called on her 15th day and got case received and the nice lady gave her case # that day and two days later her IIN.

Here's praying for other nice people who will do us the same. Think I will call now.

Here is praying you get that CASE NUMBER TONIGHT OR IN THE MORNING! Have you called already this evening?
