I'm going to piggy back off of you.....wait I must as well!!! I sent in my response to their checklist (an incorrect checklist!) almost a month ago. They received it on June 26th (according to the FedEx confirmation), but the NVC tells me that they only got the mail on July 9th. How does that even make sense? And I called again today, and they still say that they haven't processed it. How long will this take?? Please send me good vibes.....and you too, dwheels!

LOL. You feel my pain. Thank you.

I just got invoiced for the AOS.

When was your case entered into the system? I am still waiting on mine.

Edit: Never mind...saw that was on June 9th.

Seems like they are now taking longer than 'just a couple of days' to get to invoicing AOS's.

I never realized that waiting for an interview date to be assigned would be so nerve wracking.

Case was complete 7/12. Of course, being a rube and a gutton for punishment, I call NVC every day they are open to see if a date has been assigned, as I need a 30 day lead-in to ask for a couple days off work....the responses have been a source of amusement.

So far, I've gotten "you missed the scheduling period for this month, your interview will be scheduled next month", and two people who sounded very, very new. To the point where I had to explain 4 times that I was calling to see if an interview had been scheduled, and he said, "Interview for....?" I have to laugh to keep from crying.

So I guess I just keep calling every day, until I get an email with a date, or someone from NVC is helpful (god forbid).

Got everything mailed in and paid. Now we have to just wait for our docs to be accepted. What does the average waiting period for getting AOS package and IV package accepted (approved) look like now? When should I start calling about interview dates. And what's this "cut-off period" someone mentioned above. I hope we make the cut-off!

Saylin says that you'll hear your case was received this week :) With a case number either late next week, or early the week after.

It takes around a week or so for packages to be reviewed. If both are accepted, then case complete for you :)

And this cut-off for interviews is just bull #######. NVC schedules interviews all month long.

Just for clarification ^__^ about sending packet IV. I will send all the original documents: : like birth certificate, marriage certificate, NBI etc. And photocopy of each documnents ryt??

Yes, send the originals as well as photocopies of the certificates so the originals can be returned at the interview.

this pisses me off that they say it takes 20 business days to process a form. i am like #######?! with this snail mail they are doing, they can take 20 days per a form. that is just tip of an iceberg because it is really every step takes 20 days. and not 20 days for the whole aos and iv process..

i might report this to the inspector general.

i am leaning towards 'contractor malfeasance' complaint with the folk that oversee the SERCO contract, instead.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Thanks saylin :)

How about documents such as proof of relationship? Is it also included in the packet IV? (Which we already send to USCIS)

Proof of relationship isn't really needed in your case. Just bring it to the interview with you. Proof of relationship in the IV package is really only needed with those in MENA countries where interviews are much harder.
