No I mean here on DS-230. The course of Study what do you put for secondary or high school. And I meant mail delivery as in does anyone know when they deliver morning a all day. Curious when is a good time to call waiting for my approved I-130 to arrive. But I guess the normal call in the mrning than again in the evening after like 7pm I guess. Thanks

SCHOOL AND LOCATION FROM/TO (mm-yyyy) COURSE OF STUDY DEGREE OR DIPLOMA

I sent my mail by USPS with tracking number and it arrived by noon the next day. I requested overnight delivery with signature. And again in case you missed it, secondary school most of the time receives what Nigerians call a "PASS" that would be the same as a "Diploma, Certificate, Merit...etc." He says it is called a "MERIT" for Primary.

I've been getting this message on the payment portal for 24 hours.

"You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information."

NVC has had my case for 3 weeks and I've only managed to get the case and invoice identification numbers. No invoices yet.

I think this message is a good sign which indicates system is working on your case. Hopefully you should be able to see AOS invoice soon.

OMG can I vent NVC filers!! What is wronf with NVC I mean do they even know what a petition is? I literally was told I filed for the wrong petition by not one but two reps (a a man Named Guy and a woman). You know how the I-130 for says Petition for Alien Relative. But when you get your I-1797C its says

Case Type: I-130 Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), Or Orphan.

Well anyway even after reading word for word to theses people they tell me I got the wrong office even though the petition says "The avove petition has been approved (Ya'll know thw drill). What is wrong with these people??

Than each one has a different "business day" number. Well the 19th is 15 business days since the approval. I have got 7, 9, 12, 11. OMG People are right every time you call you get a different answer. Ughhhh

Okay :ot2: . waitin I must.

Nope, firefox? Should I try ie?

You (and everyone else) should only be using IE for the payment portal. The payment portal is only designed to work in IE (if it works in other browsers, bonus).

I've been getting this message on the payment portal for 24 hours.

"You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information."

NVC has had my case for 3 weeks and I've only managed to get the case and invoice identification numbers. No invoices yet.

When was your case number assigned?

And that error message is actually a good sign. Please refer to the FAQ I made in post 1, there's a question/answer about this ;)

I need help settling a dispute....

I say that my husband (the beneficiary) should have sent in the DS-3032 the minute our application hit the NVC stage. He says that we have to wait until the AOS package is reviewed/accepted. Who is right?

DS-3032 can be sent immediately after NVC has issued your case number. You can't send DS-3032 without NVC case number, and DS-3032 has nothing to do with AOS package processing.

Since the AOS and IV are two separate tracks, sending the DS-3032 now or after the AOS is accepted doesn't matter as the DS-3032 is part of the IV track which has nothing to do with the AOS track. The only thing that matters is: the later you send the DS-3032, the later it'll be accepted, the later it'll be added to the casefile, and the later the IV bill will be invoiced. So, the question is, do you want the IV invoiced as soon as possible? If so, send the DS-3032.

I'm going to piggy back off of you.....wait I must as well!!! I sent in my response to their checklist (an incorrect checklist!) almost a month ago. They received it on June 26th (according to the FedEx confirmation), but the NVC tells me that they only got the mail on July 9th. How does that even make sense? And I called again today, and they still say that they haven't processed it. How long will this take?? Please send me good vibes.....and you too, dwheels!

Well, I guess I can feel smug and say to my husband those words every wife utters, "I told you so." Thanks Saylin.

Grats on your case complete!! kicking.gifkicking.gif

There only a few select countries (the Philippines one of them) that allows for advance medicals (which can be done as early as getting to NVC). For those eligible, they bring the NVC letter that contains their case number on it (instead of the interview letter, like the rest of us).

Yes, I'd suggest calling them. Did you not give the petitioner's email address when your case number was assigned?

thanks for the info saylin

The only thing you have to wait for is your NVC Case number. If you have that, the beneficiary can send the DS-3032 electronically.

Has anyone received interview dates for India yet within the past week or so? As per the NVC interview dates for the second half of August in Mumbai are still being allocated/scheduled.

Getting impatient when this will be done!

And that error message is actually a good sign. Please refer to the FAQ I made in post 1, there's a question/answer about this ;)

I saw that, but I was thinking that it would let me pay today maybe since it started yesterday. Is it normal to get that message for a couple days?

I also just received the DS-3032 email a few minutes ago to the beneficiary email. They CC'd me but my email has a typo.

I received the case number by phone on July 9th.

Thanks.
