I have two questions first:

1. On the DS-230 the 'course' for secondary (high school) what do you put. And the example on VJ seems wrong or off. I mean for degree or diploma they have the course taken. Weird or is it me.

second question.

2. Does anyone know when mail is delivered to NVC?

Okay its MONDAY people lets get some positive vibes going.

1. For 'Course of Study' for high schools, put 'Academic'. For colleges/universities, put the program (like psychology, programming, biology, etc etc).

please what is the alien registration number on the affidavit of support form? is it the number on the NOA2 approval letter?

The alien registration number is assigned when you go through US immigration. So, if you've had a previous US visa before, you would have been assigned one. I was assigned one when I got denied at the US border the first time, so I used that on all the forms (although, once I got my visa, they assigned me a NEW number headbonk.gif). So, if you've NEVER been through US immigration, then put 'none' for that question.

Hey everyone. Our case number was assigned on Friday, but no IIN. Is that normal?

Call an operator and ask for the Invoice Identification Number. If they refuse, hang up and try again.

Did just that, received the IIN, but unable to log in - sign in failure, no record... Guess that's a good thing, having looked at the guides. Will try again tomorrow and see if we're able to log in. The gentleman on the phone said he "advised doing anything without receiving the email instructions from the NVC." - I'm guessing this is the standard response.

Thanks for all your help!

Okay, something HAS to be wrong. They still have not reviewed our AOS packet, and it was there July 3. Should I be starting to raise heck? They keep putting me off with that 20 days BS. I am VERY angry about this. They should have reviewed it last week. Could it be lost? Should I try and contact that NVC request email address about it?

I just can't believe this is the agency that is supposed to review these packets in one week.

Last I heard it was 10MB, but they may have increased it, who knows.

Hmm, in most cases, yes, it's reviewed around a week. But just because it hasn't, doesn't mean it's lost. I have seen cases where reviews take longer. Why, I don't know. And at this point, you can't really do much except keep calling once a day. If you tell them it's out of the typical review period time frame, they're just gonna tell you you need to wait X amount of business days before panicking. You can try requesting a supervisor and asking them, but there's no guarantee they can do anything.
