If they have lived in the same city, state, coutry all their life...you would put...from their birth date to the present. Isn't that correct? This is what the example form showed.

So just say in my case...I would be "City or Town" VANCE "Province" ALABAMA "Country" U.S.A.

then from my birth month and year 07/1969 until PRESENT.

Isn't that correct? We are not supposed to list all individual addresses since 16 if they have lived in the same city, state and coutry all their lives. Correct?

Please clarify this Saylin if you see this post.

Here is the example I worked from: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-DS-230.pdf

Notice the original birthday of the applicant is the same as the year and month on number 30 until present. Hope this helps you correct the form!

Yes unlike the G325 where we had to put exact addresses the city/province and country from and to is all that's needed. My husband that 3 addresses on his G325 for the DS-230 he will have 1 listed.

So you are cool.

I believe you need to put their 16th birthday if they lived in the same residence since birth. I've seen people get checklists for putting the birth date instead of the 16th birth date.

Even though our example on visa journey shows the form since the birth month and date?

Just got a text from the courier, our visas are ready for pick-up. OMG, I can't believe it. It seems just days ago, I was complaining how NVC took so long in giving us case numbers.

Okay, I have an additional question about my husbands education. He went to primary school (elementary) but did not go to secondary school (high school). He was out of school and worked for five years before being sent to another school to take up a furniture trade.

Keep in mind we are speaking of Nigieria here and my husband is 40 years old.

He listed his primary education on his DS-230 and the Furniture Trade school...so it is showing a five year gap in his education. Should we send a letter explaining the gap? At this point we cannot remove the primary school because he has already signed and FedEx'd the document from Nigeria....this gets quite expensive.

Any advice?

i find it weird that we were approved the I-130 and the I-129F the same day and NVC has received the I-129F since monday without the I-130, They told my hubby that they have started processing the I-129F already..... they told my hubby to call back next week to find out if the I-130 petition has arrived... i really wish for them to process the I-130, but whichever way all i want is to be with my husband as soon as possible.

Since they were process the same day, they were received the same day. The I-129 will be dropped and the I-130 will be become the primary petition when it's all said and done. Don't worry...it's just a little confusing when we supply both, not knowing from the beginning, the K3 visa no longer applies to Nigeria. (It does for other coutries, that's why it's still there) but getting in the I-130 visa is better for un in the long run without having to file immedite paperwork when they arrive home.

This is probably a stupid question, but if any further evidence of the on-going marriage required at the NVC, or should this just be taken to the embassy interview? Right now, my partner and I have filled out all the forms required, and the evidence to accompany them (police certificates, etc, plus W2s, etc), ready to send as soon as a case number is issued. But if more evidence is required, we'd like to start printing off emails/call logs/etc now.

Its been a great friday the 13th for me I recieved my wifes interview email for AUG 6 @ 7:15 AM today and less than 10 min later i recieved notice that I had been approved for an apartment that I had applied for! hi all, my interview date is on August 2! i am so excited and nervous same time :D:)

Congrats! A lot of the questions about the DS230/260 are great. I wonder if it answers in the instructions to those forms.

I agree with Saylin, put since 16th birthday. :)

So my joint sponsor just got his AOS package together and will scan to me on Monday. So...maybe I'll stick with my joint sponsor after all! I am asking all the NVC operators the same question and I keep getting different answers, but generally they say that my employment letter with a letterhead I make up (with the address of the person who hired me) should be ok. Some have added to get it notarized (but not all) and some have suggested attaching copies of my recent checks (even though they are personal checks). I will speak to a supervisor on Monday and let y'all know what they say. In case anyone out there has a funny situation like mine! ;)

Keep in mind, those example forms are outdated and done by just ONE person. I've seen people get checklists here for putting their birth date instead of their 16th birthday. It really depends on what officer you get as some are more lenient than others.

For the UK, no, no further evidence is needed. Bring this to the interview instead.

Adding additional evidence with the IV package is needed more for MENA countries where this needs to be sent so the IOs at the consulate/embassy can review it before the interview.

That is the problem, they didn't arrive the same day from what the operator said, they just have the K3 as for now.... and know they will cancel the K3 at the NVC stage

Brilliant, thanks Saylin. I was a little confused as another poster has an official NVC checklist as a part of their signature – and although it was a Asian country checklist, I still got a bit concerned it would be applicable to us, too. Thanks for confirming it isn't. :)
