If they don't have email addresses given to them, then they have no choice but to mail the initial information to you. Which can take much longer than the email.

So in other word sno matter what they say on phone call everyday until 1. I get Case recieved and give email addresses and 2. get case number and IIN. Got it!!

Doesnt it seem redundant to call and give email addresses than turn around and send in the DS-3032 thing. I mean good grief. Why does our government like to chase its tail. Just let Saylin and about 10 other experst (would love to see Ryan H and Darnell and Pushbrk in there) from VJ go to USCIS and NVC ya'll would have it running like a fine oiled machine chop chop.

Grats! kicking.gifkicking.gif Lucky Friday the 13th for you ;)

Glad you know what the operator said was a lie ;)

So in other word sno matter what they say on phone call everyday until 1. I get Case recieved and give email addresses and 2. get case number and IIN. Got it!!

The purpose of the DS-3032 is to appoint someone as agent for the case. It doesn't have anything to do with email addresses. Although, since email addresses are given to NVC and they then send all correspondence by email to both parties, the DS-3032 has become a moot form in my opinion and should be eliminated. But alas, I'm not running NVC.

And yeah, if I could re-do the systems at USCIS and NVC, the process would take a LOT less than it currently does.

It took them a day after providing the Case # to be able to accept the Beneficiary's email address. Sent in the Choice of Agent email today.

How long until the AOS is invoiced?

Couple of days. While you're waiting, please review post 1.

Uuuugh....my Friday the 13th is not as lucky. Called the NVC again today and was told again that they have not processed yet my response to the checklist that they sent. They received it on June 26th. Should I be getting worried that there is something wrong with it or is this semi-normal?

Congrats Tony&Darquise though on the case complete!

Thanks!

Saylin plz... another doubt =P

I already sent my DS230 and in the question that asked my last 10 years employments i dont know if I did it right.

I'm 26 yrs old, so 10 yrs ago I didnt work. I put my first job and so son, but i just started working with 19 yrs old.

It gives me 7 years. Should I have made a statement saying I didnt work for those 3 yrs before? Im not sure if they gonna infer that i was too young to work ¬¬"

i saw people getting RFE cos they didnt put the address since 16 years old, so, I'm a little worried.

=/

any one had the same experience here?

You should be fine, don't worry. I was in the same situation actually. I was 21 when I applied and only had 3 jobs at that point, starting when I was 18 or 19.

I'd suggest in your case, get your husband to print out a few blank copies of the DS-230, and sign just part 1. Then mail those to you right away. By the time you receive the forms, you should have the checklist from NVC. Make sure that question was the only thing wrong, then write in all the information again, making sure the question is correct.

Great advice, and he has now done this. Thanks for the suggestion! He did manage to get a corrected form into the mail to me yesterday, so I will send it all in hopefully next week. One stupid typo causes so much trouble and angst!

I am worrying about the AOS packet, though. They've had it over a week now and they still haven't reviewed it. I just talked to the most helpful NVC operator ever (she checked on a whole bunch of info about police certificates for me, she was really nice) and she assured me it hasn't been touched yet. I am seriously wondering what's up. If I end up getting another RFE for the AOS packet next week after sending in this one, I am honestly going to *scream*!

Anyway, best of luck to everyone waiting, and congrats to those who have received good news :)

Hi all,

Well I took the chance of maybe bumping up an earlier interview date for my wife in Colombia but FAILED! :(

The Embassy replied:

Thank you for your inquiry.

Unfortunately, we do not have any earlier appointments available.

I e-mailed the request Thursday night like 7:30PM and the above e-mail reply appeared in my inbox hours later at 4AM (I thought that was kind of strange). Maybe I should have sent it on Monday during business hours, I feel like Friday the 13th cursed me! :o

This happened to me also. The Sydney consulate told me four times they had no earlier interviews and then with a weeks notice gave me an earlier interview date. Keep trying again and again. Persistence pays. Good luck.

Hang in there Vilya. I know it feels all consuming and the end of the world, but your are just days from the end of this torture, even with RFE's. It's a minor set back in the bigger scheme of things. I know that doesn't really help when I got an RFE for a document I DID provide it made me crazy. I actully cried during this process which seems absurd.

Get the response to the checklist in and I am sure within a few days you will get your case closed.

All the best.

Hi all

Just wanted to provide a little update on my end. I have written up a interview review ( can't figure out how to add the link to it here - sorry) for those who asked. Also, had my interview on Tuesday, received the passports and yellow packets back in the mail on Thursday. The Sydney consulate is very efficient. And then, Friday I secured one of the two job offers I had. I start working in their Australian office and will be responsible for setting up their US operation. Am so thrilled. It's nice when it all falls into place. Now the hardwork begins - packing up a family of five and moving us all to a new country
